Somehow reminds me of that iconic Jim Morrison picture (entirely in a good way). Also, DRESS. MORE.

MK is possibly my personal style icon. I must find the giant cuff!

@TheHollyCat: I like the looks of these a lot better than the last Payless batch, too. (And yes—I bought a pair of sandals there Tuesday since I've recently moved and can't find any of mine. $18 to avoid unpacking a bit longer and paint my toes? Yes please!)

@lchen: I'm guessing it goes back a few hundred years (in the US, anyway) to the colonists going for non-overtaxed coffee. But those days are done with! Tea hooray!

This almost put me in tears. This has pretty much been my life. Just a little too plain, just a little too heavy, not bad enough to ridicule, not good enough to look at. I spent the first 25 years of my life being invisible and buying into all of it. I'm eternally thankful for the good friends I have had who have done

@elliotellsworth: See, I rented a house with friends in college, never did live in dorms. That would have given me valuable experience here D:

@wtfox?!: That was my OMGWANT from this, too. Also #18. Also a lot of it...I LIKE knitted stuff, okay...but the cloak coat thingy is the best.

@laetitiae: The spaghetti sauce is cooking. Mmmm. And then I'm going to eat it, while watching Buffy with my sister. EXCELLENT Sunday evening.

Tomorrow I am trekking across the Appalachians to live with my fiance for a few months while his work finishes up. I will be there up to six months. So far, I am taking computer (obvs not packed yet), half my closet (I may pick up a temp job to supplement while I'm there, since we'll be saving for a house down

@DrOttoScratchansniff: My relatively backwater area of the US sells them in the bigger supermarkets occasionally, in the International aisle. I've never tried one, mainly because that same shelf is also the only place I can buy Cadbury Fruit & Nut.

I don't get why marriage or not marriage is such a big deal. I felt more pressure when I was younger, perhaps...I'm 28 and got engaged last year, I'm wholly confident in my choice, but by the time it happened I didn't care much whether I ever got married or not. Then again, I had parents who weren't pressuring me, a

@insert-something-witty: Don't they have a new show now? I haven't seen it, but have heard a bit, something about Death coming to live in a small town or something?

@WashingMyHair (stopped Questioning Everything): My quick easy blanket take on libertarians: Economically right, socially left. Of course it's not that simple, and they have distinct reasons for those ideas different than why the right and left do, but it's a reasonable summary.

@Betty Bea: Sure! Drop me a PM. (Fair warning: I don't have lids.)

@ZombieEmpress: Hummus. Eat with veggies, on a sandwich, whatever. It's amazing.

@Mechanical Orange: My first trip to a gay bar: My friends didn't show up until later, so I ended up talking with a guy at the bar who had been stood up by his date. He decided the best form of revenge was to buy ME all the drinks he would have bought HIM. I'm not sure how that was revenge, but it worked for me!

@Sputnik_Sweetheart: She looks great. I love the outfit, personally. And I don't see anything age-inappropriate about it? I'm as puzzled as you are.

@Betty Bea: I'm a terrible, terrible, Facebook game addict. Well, I take that back—I really only play 3 regularly. Cafe World is one of them.
