I love this film. And while there are countless details that stick with you afterwards, for some reason the thing that I remember most is one subject's insistence that cats taste terrible.

Jourgenson named it 1000 Homo DJs because after recording a demo, a friend told him the only people who would ever listen to it were…well. That factoid was included in the booklet that came with Wax Trax's amazing box set Black Box (which also included the version of 1000 Homo DJ's cover of "Supernaut" with Reznor

"…'there are no crickets in Wayward Pines.' What Beverly is referring to is anyone’s guess"

I would say that Little Earthquakes, Under the Pink, From the Choir Girl Hotel and Scarlet's Walk are all solid albums.

Gore's daughter was a writer on the series, hence his multiple guest appearances.

The source article is exaggerating things. I'm in the Des Moines area (Clive is a suburb), and the local news just said that both had minor injuries, including Mick having a small laceration of the back of his head. The word "stabbed" was not used at all.

Mick is a complete shithead. I'm friends with 2 of his ex-girlfriends, both of whom he was abusive towards. His younger brother Andy (the one who got all knifey with Mick) is generally laidback and chill (not to mention like 100 lbs. smaller than Mick), so it would really surprise me if this situation were instigated

"The Wachowskis go for broke" can pretty much be a placeholder review for everything they've ever done or likely will do.

I had the cassette first as well (and I still have it, though it hasn't been played for at least a decade), and was used to that song order. But I went with the CD order in my post, because it was was easier to copy-and-paste and I'm lazy.

Remain calm, I'm coming to your house to kiiiiiiilllllllllll yyyyyyyooooooouuuuuuuu

Actually, I was meaning that all 3 of the soundtracks I mentioned were assembled by the same production team, using the same template of matching an artist from one genre with an artist from another. And while Judgment Night and Spawn are both noteworthy, the Blade 2 soundtrack is mostly garbage. Only the team-ups of

I like the song too, but of all the tracks on that album it feels the least like a blending of the artists and more like 2 separate songs stapled together with just a title and a guitar riff to connect them.

Dinosaur Jr & Del the Funky Homosapien performed their Judgment Night contribution live on the Arsenio Hall Show with Mike Watt on bass and Mike D. on drums, if you really want a window into the mid-90's.

Tracklist, rated bad, mediocre, good or great:

The same producers put together the soundtracks for Judgment Night (rock/rap), Spawn (rock/techno) and Blade 2 (rap/techno).

I had the birth/stone conversation with a woman who had gone through both. She said the stone hurt worse.

Director Kurt Kuenne posted a 15-minute follow-up to Dear Zachary on YouTube a while back. It's worth watching for some of the changes the original film brought about in Canadian law.

::Insert joke about Elastica here::

William Shatner, "That's Me Trying". Bonus points for the song being about a bad father realizing that he's been a bad father, and then only making a half-assed attempt at reconciling with his adult children (voiced here by Ben Folds and Aimee Mann) in a manner meant mostly to serve himself. Shatner gets a lot of
