I agree. In Vanilla we were a bunch of “hero” types, ala WarCraft 3, and we were one of many. Together, we formed an army, but we were interchangeable because there was a bigger than us world and a bigger than us fight to challenge for us as a group. At some point Blizzard decided that instead of everyone being a

You done Godwinned this off the bat. No cookie

Even Ford is funky. For example, Mountune is not covered for the RS here in the States - so the same protections do not extend to us like they do to Euro Mountune mods. Far as I remember it, the popping engine freaked Ford and they stopped supporting Mountune for the US. Turns out it was a head gasket problem - like

Haha, I definitely had passengers react with a shocked “OMG! What is that?!” - as they thought the car was about to explode when they would hear the pop-pop of the exhaust under heavy acceleration. I then have to go into a long explanation that no, this vehicle is designed as such, there’s no need to panick, etc. My mo

Yeah, that could have been it. I think the only real electronic part of the STi drivetrain is the SI Drive system, and I am not sure how it works - just never looked into it. I imagine the RS will inherently feel a little more electronic compared to the WRX / STi juts by the non-mechanical nature of its rear diff.

Yeah, nah, it’s super-dumb, I agree! Apparently the part number of the head gasket on the RS block was similar to the Mustang one (**citation needed, I don’t remember the deets exactly), and they fucked em up at the factory in Spain when assembling the blocks. Luckily though, again, it was not a fundamental issue with

It feels like user error. You can disable TC, and you can *really* disable TC by holding the TC button for 6 seconds. Drift mode and donuts work perfectly fine with just the single press, so I am not sure what he was on about. The system is also inherently electronic - the rear “diff” (the Rear Drive Unit) works to

Agreed on all accounts, though I have not cross-shopped the R, but rather the WRX. I would have gone for the WRX or the STi if the RS hadn’t come to the US when it did. Do wish I had waited for the late-17 or 18 MY, just due to the new shocks. Supposedly the ride is a bit more forgiving.

Folks got it wrong. It wasn’t just a head gasket “reliability issue.” The problem was specific to 2016-early-2017 productions. They slapped the wrong head gasket on it instead of the proper RS one. This incorrect head gasket could lead to engine problems, but overall the percentage of failures was not overwhelming.

Nah, it’s cold winter months. It’s just a beauty for winter driving!

The seat fitment is a real YMMV. At 5'7 and anywhere between 160 and 190lbs, it’s a wonderful fit. I always miss the bolstering whenever I sit in a different car. These seats keep me nice and snug.
Far as issues - eh? In fact, I have to admit mine’s currently at the shop for a handful of small things, and one

Wat? Are you OK?

What crawled up your bum this morning?

I can’t freaking reach the clutch and gas at the same time in an effective manner. Pisses me right off!

Was worried I was about to witness the latter the other day. It was late evening, and I slowed down and then stopped upon noticing a pedestrian in a “Yield for Pedestrians” crosswalk. Immediately, a couple of cars behind me became agitated by this and floored it to get around me flying into the other lane. Luckily,

Very yes! Sit ya asses down. It will take you no longer to stand up once the door is open than it takes you to stand up now while the door is closed and stand around like a fool bumping your ass into me.

So it’s kind of like an X2. I see they kept the Mustang brake lights, but the overall package is ... meh. I could see this thing fitting right in with the rest of the nuveu-econobox CUVs

Millennial checking in. I agree. Dismissive smug slogans like “Ok, boomer” are garbage and I do not wish to be associated with the imbeciles getting off on it

I’d estimate the cost higher than in 10s closer to 100s, considering the scope of the change here.

If you have a sporty vehicle or want to maintain some of the summer feel, you may look into performance winter tires as well. I swear by Michelin Alpin PA4, but there are cheaper offerings by competitors as well.
