This speaks to me. Any multiplayer that relies on communication frightens the hell out of me the same way that phone calls do. Monster Hunter: World has been the first multiplayer game I’ve managed to play while avoiding this phobia because you hardly need to talk to strangers, the objectives are clear and most people

Sup Maddy, sounds like the movie you were thinking about is Summer Wars (the director Hosoda did other well known anime movies like Wolf Children or The Girl Who Leapt Through Time).

I’m still buying the shit out of this game.

What version of Arena are you playing? I never wait more than 30 seconds for a match, not even when playing ladder (though then again I’m gold. In ladders wait times tend to get longer as you go higher, not just in Arena but in basically any game with ranked matchmaking.) I’ve played at any hour from 10am to 5am EST,

Without DDR I would have lost my motivation with the diet. It was the immediate feedback of my scores being higher when I ate better that kept me on the right path.

Almost everyone has more money than time. Pouring hours into a game that you purchased, only to subsequently discover you don’t care for, is self-defeating in the extreme.

Speaking as a Japanese dude: the real cultural force at work here is the Japanaese concept of “Meiwaku” (causing trouble to others).

You are likely using uBlock Origin. If you are, you need to turn off “Cosmetic Filtering” on the domain level, for some reason it fucks with social media embeds like these.

This party’s gettin’ crazy! Devil May Cry’s Dante will be coming to Monster Hunter: World in a crossover event later this year. Players can earn his stylish coat and sword, which acts as a powerful Charge Blade.
