I am 100% a fan of this. The book was written 59/60. The Murray family was this really ‘elevated’ family that the small town didn’t feel comfortable with exactly. But then they had all these kids and the father seemingly split.

“The Goops, they lick their fingers/The Goops, they lick their knives/They spill their broth on tablecloths/They live disgusting lives.”
No, its that its genetically confirmed now. I think this is a case of science reporting overblowing certain facts.
Sure they feel fantastic all the time if they are consuming it every hour on the hour. Eating that much sugar in all that fruit would be like living in a really depressing Willy Wonka factory.
One time I was flying AA, and we had to sit on the runway forever because “a decorative panel on the outside of the plane had fallen off.” And I was left there being highly suspicious because what the fuck is decorative on the outside of a plane?!
I had a boss once announce (oh so coincidentally before an office culture advisor was called in) “I can’t make you happy, we’re a team, we all have tried try to be happy together.” It was like, yeah no dude, you are the source of all our unhappiness. Cut off the tumor and we’re happy again.
I know in Alaska, if a moose is hit by a car, e.g. time and manner of death is a matter of record, the meat goes to local food banks.
The new season over seas is actually the seventh season of the show. Its a little confusing because only three have been released in the US thru PBS, being the 4-6 seasons of the show, but referred to as Seasons 1-3 in the US.
It really is an amazingly relaxing show. It’s interesting enough to keep my attention, paced moderately with soothing sounds and scenery. There’s a fair amount of the older seasons on YouTube so I’ve started to go back and watch the seasons that have never been made available in the US. Its like a treasure trove.
Not fanatical. TRUTH TELLING.
I seem to recall the same outcome in 2012 too, even when the Olympics were actually held in London.
hmmm there are some rumors circling around again that she has gotten off her meds because she doesn’t like how they feel and is tweeting under the name of Ashley Bynes. The Ashley Bynes account attacks actors in a manner similar to Bynes’ own in the past.
Aren’t epics like this usually released in the cooler months? Myself personally, I I had the option to go to the movies twice since this came out and each time ignored Ben-Hur on basis of how long it was. It’s much to nice out to spend that long in a movie theater.
Oh definitely, it’s a bittersweet appreciation. Especially for those men working on earthwork tunnels bricking it up.
Than some of them yah! The smell though, just only a little better...
I watched one of those serial documentaries on the Discovery or History Channel or whatever and one of them was on sewage systems. Ok, I must have been home sick or whatever. BUT they went down into the New York Sewage system, and it was almost gorgeous. Certainly don’t think it had the decorative details of the…
The same thing happened to Rosemary Kennedy, sister of all the famous Kennedys. Doc wasn’t available when her mother was giving birth and a nurse forced her to keep her legs shut until he arrived. Rosemary’s head was in the birth canal for two long and she suffered loss of oxygen, which resulted in intellectual…
Haha, yeah good point, kids were getting blood poisoning and shooting their eyes out all over the place and people just shrugged and said that’s the way life was. It has changed now, for the better, and we expect a higher level of skill in childcare, even beyond what many parents can offer to their kids themselves.
Yeah, the awkward positions both parents and grandparents are put into in these relationships are all caused by lack of affordable child care. I think many parents who do rely on grandparent-care might actually rather to drop their kids off at daycare. Clashes over childcare, discipline, the general…
Eh. Traditionally, prior to the nuclear family, multi-generational homes were the norm, and usually extended family around as well. Certainly, families pitched in and were expected to help watch children. However, we now expect all manner of support services families used to provide for each other to be provided by…
