Why’s it bad? Teenage girls did some shit that came from a place of good intentions. No one, literally no one, is physically harmed by this. And if any grown fucking adults are emotionally hurt by this, they’re unworthy of respect.

That’s not racism.

Not standing is equally ridiculous. This all bothers me, because I can’t roll my eyes hard enough at the various reactions.

What should I give less of a shit about? Soccer, or how near to the ground someone is during a song?

The entire western world. You know, where women are free to seek any educational or career opportunity they desire, are afforded full protection under the legal system, and have the same exact rights as men.

You seem stable.

Ok, so the guy disagrees with the consensus.

Is there any actual evidence that a “men first” culture actually existed?

Your workplace sounds absolutely horrendous!

I don’t even get why folks have to be called allies in this sense. They’re just partners and teammates, who worked with you to achieve mutually beneficial ends. That, really, is the beauty of a positive work environment — people overcome trivial, superficial, differences to create a better product and more fulfilling

As an engineer, I worked with several women to amplify our good ideas and proposals.
