Right there with you. I only ever played the PS2 version of Winback but I really liked it so I’m excited for this.

I’ve only had the time to play four of these but Returnal to me is just the bee’s knees. I was massively disappointed with Resident Evil (and I LOVED 7) and my very brief experience with It Takes Two is one of the most co-op experience I’ve ever had. I hope to play a few more from this list eventually.

I fuckin love this game. Hell yes to a sequel.

    this sounds awesome

For sure. I got lost towards the end of the game. I had to look up where to go online, which kinda puts a damper on the experience. But overall, it’s an excellent game.

Carrion rules. More people should play that game.

6 and 0 are my least favorites. The train in 0 is interesting but outside of that, I found the game to be SO boring with the worst backtracking in the series outside of Code Veronica.

Your article on Cynthia Harrell (and interview!) is one of the best things on this website. Of all the new writers at Kotaku in the last year or two, you’re honestly the only one who actually stood out. Really appreciated your point of view. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.

In NYC, you’re looking at 2-3.5k a month on rent alone. 2 is on the cheaper side, which is RIDICULOUS. Think about the myriad of other expenses on top of rent that you’ll need to spend in order to survive. 55K is a shit salary. That’s why so many people in their mid twenties to 30s that aren’t well-0ff either live in

lmao what has happened to this website? holy cow.

i love kotaku but this site in general has taken a huge dip in quality after the mass exodus of writers. this site always had the snark but there was enough informative stuff as well to keep things balanced.

There are a couple more sections where you’ll face a lot of enemies at once but you’ll have so many guns by then that it’ll be more of an annoyance than anything else.

Yeah. I LOVE RE but I was let down by Village. The last 3 hours especially were a slog with terrible bosses. Still enjoyed it but it doesn’t come close to 7. I think 8 is better than 0 and 6, but that’s not a ringing endorsement.

I don’t see why this game can’t handle saving like Hades does. That should change.

Phrike was my second death in the game. I just had a ridiculous run up to that point and got the boss down to a sliver of health before I mistimed a dodge and died. Beat Phrike on second attempt and I was shaking. It’s not that bad but the last phase is really nerve racking. Awesome game. Holy shit.

I only got a chance to play Returnal for about 20 minutes late last night, but I can’t wait to play more.

I think Annihilation is a worse movie for a myriad of reasons but it’s also more fun to watch than the new one if that makes sense. With the new MK, I was expecting a bad movie but I wasn’t expecting something so boring.

lol I rather read this wacky Anal Battle post than the countless posts from that new writer Ari saying “Actually, Outriders is good!”

I played the Re:Verse beta back in late January or early February and it was just a huge mess. I’m sure they’ve fixed SOME of the problems it had a few months ago but it’s the entire concept that just does not appeal to any Resident Evil fan I know.

I don’t regularly buy collectors editions but I have the Limited Run collector’s edition of Jedi Academy and I was thoroughly impressed with the elegant packaging and the extras they include. Seriously impressive stuff, at least to someone who doesn’t normally buy that stuff.
