Yes. They have great writers and make great choose your own adventure games. That don’t truly have major repercussions in plot. Just a good story.

Agreed, money is the main reason. They can cut off development anytime. I think there was a half assed series somewhere. And we all know how all atar batman snd robin turned out. I wasted $35 got half a story still a decade going. I basically wrote my own ending for it. Batman retires after realizing it’s pointless.

But batman beyond did a great job with that, in a unique continuity. Here, they did it for shock and padding. Killing joke s considered canon or was. Or however, either way, they turned a great character into a set piece.

These idiots should have allowed third party apps. Their game, their rules, but look what happens when others join in.
