Nothing as long as you have good technique, which matters with all methods of sharpening.

That’s not a sharpener, it’s usually a ridged honing steel which is only meant to touch-up a slightly dull knife by straightening the bent over edge (which is the first thing that happens to a knife as it dulls). It won’t sharpen a really dull knife and you can’t touch up small nicks or chips with it.

That actually sounds better than real eggnog. I might have to try that

If I have a vacation where I know I will be doing physical activity, I’ll probably bring more. But I’m also planning on commando days ;)

Do you think it’s on the low or high side?

Seriously. 7 items of “lounging wear”? If I’m going on a week trip I usually pack in my bag:

Wow! That is a pretty serious screw-up. Your boss must have really liked you or had heard worse stories of past employee screw-ups that yours only warrented a laugh and some peer humiliation.

Ouch! What a way to find out that the backup drive was broken. Glad to see that you didn’t get fired because of it.

One of the few online options available is Backcountry.com where they let you return your items within 30 days for a full

As an architect I concur.

You can use your new found knowledge at parties to woo members of whatever gender you are attracted to.

Tim, next time can you vet these posts better? I like to think that Lifehacker is a pretty quality website, but occasionally unsafe posts like these pop up. Instead of the stipulation you added, I think you should really change this post to say, “If your contractor builds your deck like this, please fire him and

Thank you for making this point! I was suspicious when I read the post title and was flabberghasted when I watched the video. Not anchoring the bottom of the post is so unsafe and the effort you have to go through to put the lag bolts in the bottom and get them level is more than just using the proper post base

Seems like his training to play Wolverine payed off for your mum!
