That is not exactly what a performance bond is. A performance bond is issued by a surety company and if the contractor does not complete the project for whatever reason, the surety company will either pay the client the rest of the money required to complete the project or they will hire a different contractor to

I agree, 16:9 is awful for portait. It’s too tall for its width. At work I have two monitors, one is 16:9 and the other is 16:10. The 16:10 is actually a perfect ratio for a portrait monitor as it is much closer to the proportions of a 8.5x11 sheet of paper than a 16:9 monitor is. At home I currently have 2 16:9

Yea, the fact that trex gets so blazing hot makes it useless to me as a decking material. Plus it requires more support than wood due to its flexibility.

While I agree that the bench looks to be a bit low, it’s not against code. Also if the deck is less than 30” above grade you don’t need a railing. It is a nice deck, I just would have made the benches a little closer to chair height. Though it’s hard to tell from the picture. The benches look actually look close to

Wood. Mainly cedar. I’ve found that the problem with composite decking is that it gets unbearablely hot. Cedar decking will last a long time and stay much cooler. Ipe is also supposed to stay cooler that composite, but I haven’t had the opportunity to walk barefoot on a deck built with ipe.

Really? That’s good to hear. I’m 29 and I’ve had huge tonsils all my life and I always thought that they didn’t bother me until my wife finally started complaining about my bad breath and I recently noticed tonsil stones. Why didn’t any of my dentists notice this before and tell me to get them removed! Maybe I will

You don’t have to have your donors sign up to send money to you with SquareCash. Just send them a link to your cash.me page (cash.me/$yourcashtag) and all they need to do is enter in the amount they want to pay/donate to you and their debit card info and thats it. It’s a really easy way to accept payments without

So Google just added signatures to Inbox, but they only allow you a single signature unlike gmail where you get seperate signatures for each email address. I don’t know why Inbox has to be so different and behind. Why can’t they port over the stuff that makes Gmail great and combine it with the greatness of the Inbox

One of the things that my wife liked about the house that we bought was the stained trim and doors, even though they are the cheapest level trim and flush panel birch doors. The previous owners were also horrible and got paint all over the trim and left masking tape on parts. Before we sell the house I’m going to have

This is a great point. I currently own a ‘02 WRX with 150K miles and a couple issues that need to be fixed, including a bearing in the center diff that is on its way out. I recently went to the Subaru dealer to test drive both a BRZ and a new 2015 WRX. The BRZ was really fun to drive and really tempting except it is

At this point I think Helvetica is one of the over-used classic typefaces that the article is talking about. It is everywhere and is especially evident after watching the Helvetica movie (available on Netflix). I do think its a good font, which is why it is over used, but there are other fonts available that look good

I was looking to see if someone else nominated this. I love DownThemAll and is something that I can’t live without. I’m an architect and it makes downloading the updated building code PDFs so much easier, since the ICC website has each chapter as an individual link and doesn’t give you the option for a combined PDF.

I agree. One of the first add-ons I install on a new machine right after an ad-blocker.

Same here. We have a bunch of web apps built on Oracle that require IE otherwise they screw up. Whats worse is that our newest web app built on Oracle that they just released last year for doing expense reports is only compatible with IE9! I had IE10 or IE11 installed on my work computer as I needed a more modern

Hey! My dad took me to that exact dealership when I was about 10yrs old or so to test drive a H1 Alpha. It was really cool being in it as a kid, but even then I recognized how hilariously slow it was. It took forever to get up to 65 mph, but it was pretty awesome when we started the test drive and the sales guy just

Yes they do. They live a couple hundred years or so from wookieepedia: "From the age of 18, the Wookiees were viewed as full-fledged adults,[13] and were considered in their prime around the age of 200.[7] Throughout this lengthy period, Wookiees were expected to embrace a career and find a regular source of income so

I second your nomination. It’s a great device. I love mine and was sad that they got rid of the keyboard. It was really helpful having free 3G access when I was in Mexico and had to look up travel information or even check my email on it. I really wish that they kept the keyboard version as an option and just updated

This is my biggest complaint with Android Device Manager or any of these other services. I frequently turn off data and wifi to save battery life, mostly because my office has horrible 3G/4G service and if I leave it on, my battery will drain in about 2 hrs. I want a fool-proof system where the service sends you a

No mention of Cat Cora’s restaurant in the Houston Airport, titled “Cat Cora’s Kitchen”? Probably some of the best airport food that I have had in my travels. I didn’t spend much time wandering around the rest of the airport, but the excellent food and healthy portions more than encouraged me to hang out there for a

I imagine you could use a sensor to detect the angle of the car and have that automatically deploy the floor flaps. In order to make it fail-safe, the flaps should also deploy when they lose power, so if you have a crash or an electrical problem before you start to get airborne, the flaps will still deploy.
