They are smart and strong and they’re going to be OK. None of our previous generations modeled great behavior. We’re doing better, even if it’s two steps forward one step back. It’s OK to be proud of what these kids are doing while still considering if the rest of us are doing enough.

That’s so brave! It reminds me of those stories of when moms lift cars off their children (that’s probably hyperbolic but there’s definitely a crazy-mom-strength thing). Our brains get really intense when we’re keeping things from harm.

Thank you, I hadn’t seen that... I love how at every turn not only is she making more sense than he is, but she is just obviously so much more intelligent and knowledgeable of the world. Her books were favorites of mine from the start, but I love how she’s becoming a public figure outside of literature.

Yeah, I don’t think she’s a bad person and I think the internet went overly righteous on her. Years old tweets shouldn’t ever destroy someone’s career. But I do get what the anger is about.
