I have moved into a 2 bedroom, one common area house with both my boyfriend and my roommate’s 4 out of 7 days here boyfriend. So that’s two couples in one small house. Financially it was the right choice but I’m turning into a crazy person and considering breaking up my relationship just so that I don’t have to have

Yeah I think it comes down to “No YOU’RE the Nazi!”

My favorite gym, for all time, was the Park Slope YMCA. It was like $40 a month, you’d sometimes see Christopher Walken, everything was clean and nothing was fancy. I go between medium-chubby to medium-skinny and if nobody was staring at Walken, clearly nobody was staring at me.

I was kind of shocked and then I read that she’s devoted to promoting the rescue of beagles. Which — I have a rescue pup who is probably part beagle — I can’t get mad at as a concept... but if that’s your big “I have a national platform” charity idea, you’ve got some basic value issues.

*goes and gets hypnotized to never think about that again*

“Here’s a city! You probably know what that means more than I do.”

Who decided mid-90's that C was the worst letter? Give C a break!

It is mind-boggling that the thought process seems to be, “She’s organized events, why not a city?”

Yeah it makes me feel terrible but whenever I read something particularly awful that’s happening because of this guy I try to find a story about how unhappy he is now. His presidency is turning me into a sadist.

He doesn’t seem to understand that more rules apply to him because he’s PRESIDENT. Like in his brain it’s still just “Who’s better? Donald or Hilary?”

As a person who was recently fired by a boss who didn’t like me and had an axe to grind with no real basis behind it: go get a drink with a friend and rant to them about this. Don’t put it on the damn public record.

In the 90s or early aughts (not quite sure) I was totally shocked to see a kid that bullied me when I was maybe 6 on a reality show. He acted crazy/got violent and got kicked off. I think if he’d been cast now he’d be asked back for a new season!

I actually live pretty firmly within the liberal bubble — I came home from a work trip the day after Trump won and sobbed for like an hour and my boyfriend said, “Oh, you don’t even have a racist uncle, do you?”

I got several of my friends together last night and we saw this, based mostly on this write up & interview. It was so intense and so smart. Thanks for the tip.

When I lived there about 10 years ago people always were talking about very cool parties being held in the catacombs. But I’d also heard stories of people going missing and was like “Oh hell no am I going to get drunk in an underground maze of dead people”.

This climate is drawing out the dangerous crazies on both sides. I’m glad no one was killed; no one should die (or be shot!) for doing their job.

Wow, that sounds re-traumatizing as hell. What a disaster. I’m glad you made it through that.

Thank you so much! Very hard to remember in our society but very wise.

Yes this was a while ago and while having a horrible experience myself, it also taught me to have a better sense of my parents’ natural worry for me. To be clear they didn’t think I’d hurt myself — I’ve never been that far — but they were afraid for not having heard from me (“what if she fell? what if her boyfriend

I’m sorry that your child has to worry about that, and glad he has parents who are helping him navigate it. But you’re right, it’s important... I still have to remind my boyfriend who is basically a Comey-sized labrador that he can’t just bound up on people to ask about their t-shirt or music or whatever because he’s
