“recent politicization of the FBI” is deeply hilarious. MLK would like a word.

I wonder if any of this has caused her to look inward
Sort of feel like she could solve this by just living in a not-three-million-dollar house
Yes, and that same account does not report that Meredith won’t be confirmed at all, just that his confirmation wasn’t announced today. The Biden admin refuses to comment on it. Jezebel also referenced a report from HuffPost citing admin sources saying Meredith’s confirmation was going forward, not just a tweet.
Do you not understand how reporting works?
It’s almost like Joe Biden doesn’t actually care about abortion rights.
If the time to fix this was 2016, then maybe the Democrats shouldn’t have rested all their hopes for protecting abortion rights on a ticket that was 50% anti-choice?
Boy, people really get upset when you point out their heroes are terrible at their jobs.
Convenient to say that you’ll do these things when they know full well there’s no chance it will happen. Are you really this credulous?
There is plenty of evidence that other Dem senators do not support overturning the filibuster. There’s one in my state who responded to a letter I wrote him by telling me he doesn’t think we should change filibuster rules (Hickenlooper). It’s not cynical. It’s the truth.
Talk about Manchin and Sinema all you want, but the fact is that if they weren’t blocking the filibuster change, another centrist senator would step up to do it. There may be individual politicians in the party who want to do their jobs, but it is absolutely a whole-party problem. There’s always another Democrat who…
There are a lot of people in these comments who will be loudly wondering why berating people for wanting results from the politicians they voted for didn’t lead to the electoral outcome they want.
So by this logic, what incentive does a Democratic politician have to actually push for change, knowing that you’ll gladly fall in line and vote for him regardless of what he does?
“This sort of sentiment always reads bizarre to me given the present stakes and political climate. I find it deeply ironic that the people most likely to reject the notion of fervently voting for the Democrat in order to keep Republicans out office (i.e., harm reduction,) are the people most likely to be harmed—which…
It’s hilarious to me that liberals think “voting for the shitty guy despite the fact I know he’s shitty” is not throwing your vote away. You are erasing your own political power by promising your vote to someone who actively sucks and whose party is doing fuck all to stop the rise of fascism here and around the world.
It’s funny because she clearly believe things like this make her seem cool when it fact they make her seem like a massive fucking dope
There is a hilarious number of people in these comments who clearly feel that they’re owed something by GRRM, and I hate to say it but that’s not how this works. People whining as if he hasn’t delivered hundreds of hours of entertainment for you already. He’s human, get over it.
incredible lib take from someone who supposedly misses splinter, lol
Democrats are dumping this entire country into the fucking trash.
Edit: yes, so are republicans.
Yes, right-wingers frequently cite protests and labor unions as preferred means of social change.
