LOL!

We shall have to agree to disagree on the merit of the movie.

Don’t get me wrong - I do enjoy a $200M blue laser movie as much as the next guy. But I’d like to see more smaller movies as well is all.

When 2020 hit in earnest I was actually kinda hopeful for what we’d see in terms of media. I thought maybe the era of the $200M blockbuster that ended with a blue laser shooting into the sky might give way to smaller, more intimate movies focusing on character and story.

MacGruber works as a skit on SNL. It worked as a series of skits on SNL... but after about the 5th one it stopped working. It just doesn’t have the bones to work in longer forms.

I liked the first episode. Samantha’s absence is a hole that has yet to be plugged but otherwise everything still works. This feels like Sex and the City just aged up a bit and for that it succeeds beyond what I thought it would.

I agree - I liked that. It wasn’t remarked upon nor was it ever a plot point. It was just her character and I have to say that is good representation. I just wish that character might have been more... you know... integral to the plot.

I wanted to hold off until the entire season was over since I figured maybe everything was building up to something... And.. yes and no?

I’ve only seen the first 2 episodes since that was all I was able to see since I don’t have Apple TV... but the biggest problem with this series I saw was something inescapable. Asimovs Foundation books were such a bedrock... ahem... foundational... set of ideas that it influenced everything that came after. Dune,

I’ve not been impressed by this series yet. Nothing has been atrociously bad or anything but... it feels like they are pulling punches. The comic would take one tiny change and spiral it out to the end of the universe in 15 pages. The show... just kinda exists and has some tiny alterations. It’s weird because this

I don’t get why a reboot would even be required... I mean, to do a reboot they’d have to have a new cast and a new office anyhow so why not just create a new show, kinda like The Office but with a new cast and a new office to set it in? They could even run on nostalgia and call it “Office 2.0" or something like that.

I’d actually rate this slightly higher in the B- area. It’s not bad. It’s not going to redefine horror or even netflix movies but it’s enjoyable in an RL Stine sort of way...

That’d be fun to see in live action, actually.

Yeah... Cruella works as a supporting character that is the evil antagonist. I am not that interested in her as a main character.

in the end, though, Pokemon and Digimon have very little in common other than those last 3 letters. Especially the TV shows... I’m not denigrating Pokemon since those that like it, like it for valid reasons but... Digimon had one continuing storyline, actual character growth and a pretty well realized world it was set

Digimon was not a Pokemon rip off. Both the games and TV show were its own thing. It was popular because of Pokemon but that is like saying Yu-Gi-Oh was a Magic the Gathering rip off.

I’m not a fan of the look of this show... But... I mean, it’s about MODOK : There really isn’t any way to present that character in an okay way, so I guess it’s about as good as it can be...

The HP movies went from “Just Okay” to “Actually really good”. There was only one of them I can think of that just fell apart (I think it was the 5th one - it just went from one set piece to another. Which was understandable since at that point it was trying to adapt a 600 page novel into a 2 hour movie and basically

Hmmm.... You are the one congratulating a sexual predator on being handsome and successful and yet I am the one ignorant?

James Franco is a sexual predator? I mean... how? It’s not like he’s that handsome nor is he that successful. How did he manage to become that?
