Yeah… I don't know. Maybe it's a worthy successor to the original. I like the cast and maybe they can pull it off. But I still have some suspicions that may not be the case… I mean, it's not like the trailers were able to showcase better stuff or anything, so I have this suspicion that I might not like it.

Yeah but I never got into that era of the X-Men comics so I have no idea if he was at all interesting there. I do know that on the animated show he had the hottest romance with Rogue on saturday morning TV…

I suspect Gambit is a character best left in the old X-Men cartoon where he was cool… Nobody is ever going to be able to be that good if they dress like that in a live action movie.

It might be a decent movie. Personally, I am waiting this out until I hear some word of mouth on it. The trailer looks dreadful but then I am hearing decent reviews, so either it is a good movie with a bad trailer or it is a bad movie backed by a studio with deep pockets.

No doubt about that.

I am mildly interested in this movie. And to be honest I could care less about the Joker or Batman or even Harley. What I care about is that I'll see the absolute coolest character ever in the DCU onscreen : Amanda Waller. My only regret is that she isn't being played by CCH Pounder.

You know, lots of people who listen only to what the other candidates say gobble down that "Corrupt" tag on Clinton. But something I have noticed - almost everyone that has worked with her - from Obama to fellow Senators on both sides of the aisle - all agree that she is a trustworthy candidate that is not corrupt.

And I am actually okay with synthetic animals taking over. They can't do any worse than we have, so good on them.

I actually rather liked the Muse… it isn't in the top tier of Brooks work but I enjoyed it well enough.

Definitely. As are most of Albert Brooks movies - the guy seems to have inherited the mantle of Woody Allen (It's the one with "Never makes a really bad movie" written on it).

Hmmm…. That first movie was somehow very watchable. But looking back on it, it really was a triumph of style over substance, so maybe a remake might be a good thing.

Wow… 10 years… Here I was thinking six at most. But you're right - 10 years ago. I wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult for a director of Lynch's standing to get a movie made…

I always think back to the first episode of the Scientific American show on PBS hosted by Alan Alda… It had a portion about a robot that supposedly could find a person and deliver a message. So they told it to deliver a message to Alda… and Alda ended up giggling as it backed him into a corner repeating "A duh a duh a

Sigh. I miss that 80's and 90's era of David Lynch directing movies. I wish he'd do more - I loved "Inland Empire" but that was years ago…

In all honestly… This movie sounds a bit like "The Royal Tennebaums go camping"

Tom Skerritt is still alive? I assumed he died years ago…

That actually sounds rather coherent for a Lynch directed movie…

Oh. Crap. I thought I had a billion dollar idea there.

Idea for a online game : One in which the only way to play it is through finding a cheat.

I guess that's interesting. But I care about as much about a fictional characters sexual orientation as i do actual peoples (IE : "Not at all.")…
