“There’s nothing new about it—what’s different and new about it is selling it to Wall Street as innovation or disruption.”

Trump is a narcissistic, misogynistic demagogue, and his presidency tarnishes our image throughout the world.

It screams to me Freshman Year creative writing class short story.

How insulting! Boy’s Life at least affords one the opportunity to buy X-Ray Specs and sea monkeys, Wiener is not even offering that.

Yeah, I have to say, that monologue was terrible. Not a single joke, hell not even a moving picture, just the text “The uploader has not made this video available in your country.” I mean, can we even call that a monologue, then? Larry David definitely dropped the ball here.

Which of course is the big problem with the horror game genre. Many of us love the idea of a hardcore horror game and want the genre to be successful, but we don’t feel like actually playing them (in my case because even more than a hardcore horror fan I’m a hardcore chickenshit, watching a 90-120 minute horror movie

*sees a film about the generational trauma of meaningless war* wow mansplaining much

Legit scary. In addition to not having a lot of time to play video games recently, one reason I haven’t played this game as much as I would like is that it constantly gives me a feeling of anxiety/dread (in a good way). Have to be in the mood to play that game. Mario Kart is a good game to play right afterwards to get

Ooo Disgaea’s a great point of comparison! I remember how complex and fun some of the character and ability combinations were in Disgaea 3 when I played it on the Vita. I too have not ventured to the PS4 one yet for similar reasons (and that, as with the Dynasty Warriors series, the games don’t change significantly

Didn’t get to play this past week, but should be able to get some RE7 tonight. I keep forgetting about the block button and fighting those sewage monsters requires that I not forget. I’ll also be playing COD:WWII (and muting everyone). Glad to have a FPS that I can play and turn my mind off for a little bit. Really

I finished Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, which has made it into my top Games of 2017 list, though not all the way to the top. The story and writing are first class; the shooting is very good, but not quite up there with Doom. There’s slightly too much time spent in grey corridors, and only one instance of riding a

What Have You Finished This Week?

Salutations~!

Nancy’s tough. When Hop asks Jonathan(? or was it Steve?) if he knew how to use a gun, Nancy just took the gun and said “yup”.

Plus, she drinks like a champ.

Hey, now! In defense of Nancy, I like very much that Stranger Things has a female character who (a) is willing to ask for help when she needs it, and yet (b) doesn’t need to be rescued, and also (c) when shit needs to get done, does it. It may have taken her a while to grow into that role, but she’s there now.

Of the kids, Mike is the one who ’s equal parts innocent, proactive, sensitive, brave and capable of leadership. Sure, he’s not overly funny and season 2 he didn’t really have much to do, but I thought his protective loyalty to Will was great.

And an aftershow!
