Are you seeing anyone?

Oh, is that gonna be a movie and/or show? I liked the book. Eggers gets a bum rap

"Crabsticks" do not actually contain any crab and from 1993 manufacturers have been legally obliged to label them "Crab flavoured sticks"

He looks like Ming the Merciless got upset over his ex-gf and ate for 10 years

I kill and eat animals like a madman, but I'm shocked there's still places in the world where not eating them is some crazy cultural abnormality

Or did he let boos a (cemetary p)lot of moaners? (admittedly groan to moan is, if anything, dialing down the spook-factor)

'What's the deal with those guys?'

I wish you had told me before I submitted it 750+ times

inb4 Space Jam

Fair enough, maybe that New York Mario zone will scratch the itch

Maybe. I haven't seen it since I was a scream-ager! (teenager) (scream instead of teen) (screamager/teenager)

So 'contemporary fantasy' might be a better arbitrary descriptor? In any case it seems there's so much of it, do you really need it to saturate video games too?

If I can take anything from your comment it's that the ubiquity of modern fantasy across several mediums has already made the idea hacky + moribund. But it's also not true! How about Infamous, Life is Strange, and NieR? If you're including superhero stuff like Spiderman, how about all of those?

Salacious B. Crumb

And 'Furburger Village' doesn't have the same ring to it for toy marketing purposes

Their insistence that basketball hoops are 'not essential' to an NBA venue also drastically hurts their chances

I remember seeing a Disney kid's show, and the presenters were talking about grunge music (i'm guessing this was 94-95). One of them said 'Did you know Nirvana are named after a state of bliss? And Pearl Jam are called that because one of the band's members had an aunt called Pearl who made excellent jam.'

I guess, but in terms of 'cultural impact', what are we saying was lost here, if the shows would have been the same? Do you really need a shot glass that says 'budda bing!' on it?

Crab is pretty cheap where my parents live. I kind of like seafood sticks too though. Once every 2-3 years I'll get a pack and do the whole thing, prior to weeping

Maybe we can hijack one of the other threads for weekly discussion?
