Um, yes?  There’s nothing unethical about asking for time in return for entertainment.  If you’re not having fun, then don’t invest your time.

There’s nothing “friendly” about this. It’s obnoxious, condescending, and completely misses the point. You know what’s objectively easier than following all the steps to complete that DIY project? Buying an S/NES Classic that’s guaranteed to work out of the box and plugging it in (and even installing Hackchi)! You

I would be hesitant to recommend RetroPie to anyone who doesn’t already know enough to set it up themselves (or is at least interested in doing it). Don’t get me wrong, I have a Raspberry Pi with a 3D-printed SNES case running RetroPie and it looks great, plays great. But I know what I’m doing and can deal with the

It’s almost like some people like to support companies...

Who said “solely”? You get an insta-fail for making shit up.

Get the fuck out with this. Are you also the type of person who gives people shit for playing consoles when they could just build their own PC?

Unfriendly reminder that that is illegal unless you own all the games, that your solution is likely to be as or more expensive than the retro box depending on what the user owns (I for example do not own a USB keyboard, just the wireless Apple Magic Keyboard), that some people want to pay for aesthetics (which is no

BUT THEY HAVE 50000000000 games on one card dude. They gotta tell you.

Where is your brewery/bike shop?

you guys are like vegans, you can never visit an article like this without mentioning this.

The cognitive dissonance needed to call something a “shameless cash grab” while advocating stealing as an alternative is certainly impressive.

I love how people paying legitimately for older games are the lazy ones. But getting a Pi and getting ROMS without paying these companies? Nah, totally fine...

*scratches off this square on my bingo card*

too lazy to buy a Raspberry Pi and install RetroPie on it, despite that being by FAR the superior choice in pretty much every way fathomable.

Nah. Modded SNES classic beats it out of the water through convenience factor alone. For the 64 bit era, though, I feel like games are too big to mod these bad boys. Sticking to emulation on your PC would still be the best way to replay ‘em.

Except that the Raspberry Pi will always have a worse UI, worse user experience, and is definitely on the wrong side of the legal debate.

Lol dang buddy, relax.

Maybe least interesting wasn’t the right choice of words. It just seems like an odd choice to give her the special skin when some of the other members have much more prominent roles in the video.

She actually has more than 25 minutes of voice lines in the game. The skins and the music video have been well received by the community, but one criticism is that Kai’sa, the character with the shoulder things, received an alternate, special version of the skin that is difficult to obtain. Many of the community

Of course, either people agree with you or they’re wrong, isn’t it?
