If you’re not aware that the water you wash a dish with in California is the clean drinking water Californians needs, while the water that falls naturally to grow trees in maine and oregon is not, you need to do some research.
Well the water necessary to grow the trees to create the paper doesn’t have to be as clean or in the same location as the water necessary to wash dishes. And given that 2 trees are planted for every tree used to make paper, it’s not a question of running out of trees either.
And, with drought spreading all over the world, that’s not a strategy that’s going to work long for anyone.
