When the beta is to basically boast the product and maybe make sure network code is working(Halo 3 and Halo Reach, Killzone 3,and probably Gears of War 3) it's nice because it's a fun game, a big crowd, and the crowd's tend to be less juvenile. It's all about passion! I'd call the Halo's great games but their studio has grown tremendously. When people are excited and proud of what they do there are no bounds, so 2 guys or 200 people can push out an amazing game if they have faith in themselves and what they are making.
