I imagine they wanted another adult in the room to replace Hartman. But you weren't replacing Hartman

Norm was not allowed to do this joke on air:

98-99 is the one I didn't care for. John Goodman shows up every week and it gets old fast

That was the week Lorne had his kid and Michael O'Donaghue died, so I think he was distracted

Wait, the guy who helped get the West Memphis 3 out of jail just did a two hour ad for Tony Robbins?

Poor Elliots.

Ya' got any gum?

Classic SNL re-aired the 94-95 season and man, it's as bad as it sounds. So many of the skits are completely DOA, it's just stunning. Given all the work that goes into getting a skit on air, this was the best they could do?

Lorne Michaels' attempts to defend the show on the SNL in the 90s doc were infuriating. Also, that New York mag article is amazing

I still wonder what happened with Bruce Willis. I don't buy the scheduling conflict line.

That's awesome. Mine was Deconstructing Harry.

I don't think I will ever understand the Ghostbusters controversy. If it sucks, it sucks, who cares? And it sounds like it's eh at best, which means this whole thing is a big deal over nothing

I think that if Woody is giving you direction, it means you're doing something wrong.

I thought Rome With Love was great, but again, I love Woody one liners. The plot with the opera singer killed me

Woody considers Jade Scorpion to be his worst. He had a big budget and didn't know what to do with it, plus the lawsuit was going on at the time

I think his three favorites are Purple Rose, Stardust and Match Point.

Magic in the Moonlight is just fun and breezy. Woody made a movie for the fans and wanted to see if Emma Stone could do Keaton

Match Point was the first Woody movie I had seen in theatres in a long time. I haven't missed one since

It does. And a young Zach Braff
