Yeah, nobody told Ferrari what to think about the E-type. And the rest of us car classicists needed no persuading.

And having sold cars, we were supposed to tell you that car was in stock, no matter how long ago it was actually sold.  Then when you show up, “oh darn, it was just sold”.  Good stuff, really made people want to buy another car.

Maybe I wasn’t clear, any CPO car comes with a factory warranty extension. This dealer was advertising a car as CPO but then trying to sell the factory warranty extension that the car should already come with.

Ha, yeah my sister in-law rear-ended a car at a stop sign, causing just minor damage but about 8 guys poured out all holding their necks and backs.  I think for once the insurance company said “no” to their claims.

Ducati does by way of parent company Volkswagen Group’s VW Credit, Inc.

HD makes a signifigant part of its profit from financing. Hence the hit when people default.

Kawasaki and Honda had (do?) their own financing arms because they are giant corporations. Suzuki and Yamaha didn’t (AFAIR).

They probably looked at how much the auto manufacturers were making from their finance divisions and decided they wanted in on some of that.

I’d have to imagine a bike is harder to repo.  It is far more likely to be hidden away in a garage.  Especially someone’s Harley that they probably value more than most people in their lives.

Antigua? Silly me, I thought i docked it in Aruba...

That’s the corollary to “this job is only going to take me 45 minutes, an hour tops.”

Once a guy on a local spotters’ Facebook page told me that Toyota bought Scion, because that’s what big automakers do, is buy up small independent car brands to fill out their portfolio.

True.

I never saw the appeal of the Slantnose. I understand the functional aspect, but aesthetically, the proportions of the front end look wrong, and it trades a Porsche design signature for something that looks far more generic.

Nascar had 30 deaths since it’s start. by the very nature of the sport, I’m surprised the plane race hadn’t had more.

Nah. It was fine. It was a lightweight efficient car made when the domestics had no clue, and they developed the whole thing in a stupid short time. It was outclassed by cars in the 80's and probably was in production too long, but for when it came out, it was fine (not to mention the lightweight architecture and

That’s the fundamental problem. Corvettes- even Z06 models - are not low production limited cars. Give it a few years and supply and demand will balance out. The premium will evaporate.

I’m getting old and I know child safety and child car seat designs have changed. But my parents hauled my sister and I around in a Dodge Omni and later a Ford Tempo. Eventually, we got a minivan. The percentage of people that NEED a Ford Explorer has gotta be pretty small.

After he realized his family needed a bigger vehicle, they did something unusual: they traded in both of their vehicles for a Ford Explorer.”
