When did they stop making those? You are a bit late to the party. Some years ago, my father, liking the lines, bought one. And you are right; it was a tarted up LeBaron.

Didn’t know Cosworth breathed on the head, but you wouldn’t know it. Buzzy 4 cylinder engine.

Every body part was different from the LeBaron. though.

For me, I will always remember Lauda for the superhuman courage it took to get in that car weeks after given last rites, and still bleeding onto his nomex.

Very well presented.

Pretty cool! That it isn’t a garage queen

Good points. I might add, a friend of mine who became a motorcycle cop in CA, told us of the very difficult exercises he had to go through before he was certified. What I do remember is the attention they had to riding very slow - and precise - and riding in formation.

The asshats I have seen on our freeways make me

Intersections would terrify me. What do they teach you there?

All that cleverness and he couldn’t pass smog.

I had a friend who was the first service mgr for what became one of the biggest MB dealers and he said something that stayed with me:

The average full size truck wouldn’t fit in my garage. I can’t get over how big they have become. Something like a Colorado seems the size that a “normal” truck would have been 15-20 years ago.

What is it with Toyota and these hideous front ends?

Essentially, the blog post implies, it’s cheaper for Tesla to just make the hardware of one model of basic Model 3, and just decide to lock or unlock its maximum range.

My Dad had one - captivated by the styling. And they are as rare as hen’s teeth. Living with the car, though, revealed that with its buzzy 4 cylinder engine, it was more K-Car than Maserati.

I read something interesting from a past Bob Lutz column in Road and Track. The truck and SUV prices have risen so much in part to subsidize the cars the govt mandates for the CAFE standards - that are slow to sell.

I saw Jeremy Clarkson drive on on Grand Tour - what an amazing car. You’d think they would build some more with all that pent up demand with people with $500K ready to hand over...

To this day, I’ve had a sour taste for Hondas because back in 1980 when demand was strong, the salesmen were even indifferent to helping you. “This is the price, if you want one, leave a deposit and get in line”.

But you are of course right about “supply and demand”.

Look at the flip side - buyers expect hefty

Man you’d think with this kind of bad publicity the dealership would bend over backwards to placate Sood. How many people want to go to Jersey City Ford now?

Growing up in the 50s and early 60s, I remember when people aspired to a Cadillac - it was, as they touted, “the standard of the world”.

Then in the 70s they started making crap. The 4-6-8 V8, the 4.2...and even worse not fully backing it. Many owners were left on their own.

So, IMO, even though they have again been

What is moderate to one is severe to the other. He knew the rules.

As of VW doesn’t have enough problems...

I’ve heard about a mid-engined Corvette since I was a senior in high school - and that was 1968. More vaporware.
