Uh, most of the fanbase DOES realize it’s messy and flawed. That’s part of the charm to them. The people who take it super-ultra-seriously and think it’s Shakespearean are the vocal minority at best.

I like 4Kids invisible guns!
The Caribbean opens up a LOT. There’s a ton of stuff to explore, and there’s all sorts of goodies scattered around every island on the map. It’s a lot of people’s favorite part of the game, world-wise.
That’s just not true. Shit, there were three dual-type legendaries in Gen 1. It was littered with Rock/Ground and Grass/Poison.
I don’t know what you’re saying? Pokemon have had two official types since the Gen I days.
Objection to your objection. Dual types 100% existed in gen 1. There was never a pure ghost pokemon until Misdreavus came out.
Uh, might wanna play Gen 1 again. There were definitely dual-type Pokémon in Gen 1. It’s always been a thing.
....WTF are you talking about? Dual-types have been a thing since the beginning.
Steel, Electric (because of his high-energy). Heck, maybe even Flying? Maybe the bandaid comes off and it’s a third eye and he’s Psychic. XD There’s no point to the speculation until we see the final stages.
They have keep something for E3. Pokémon and animal crossing
Arnold does real-time licensing from a license server, so what this probably means is that a single machine doing a single frame lost connectivity to that server. It’s... a surprisingly common issue, and usually gets caught somewhere in QA. Either it got missed or they decided they didn’t have time to redo the scene.
Thanks for this, Gita. A lot of the cultural narrative of this series gets lost in discussions of whether or not it makes sense, about the side games, snide jokes about the titles, and general disdain for its general themes and ideas. But these games clearly mean a lot to so many people, and coverage like this is…
My political evolution happened over time as I came to realize that I valued truth and reason over narrative and emotion.
To be fair, asking “Why would anyone choose to be a conservative?” is a VERY good question.
Counterpoint - I like the feeling of progression and a goal to work towards granted by having to unlock characters. I admit that it sucks if you just want to grab a group of friends and start playing with everything - maybe they should only lock single player while multiplayer has everyone available from the get go?
banning 4 people? there goes half the playerbase.
Well, when FF was “fucked up”, it was done with emotional depth and timing. Taro is a solid writer and great at implementing intellectual direction and curiosity with great world lore -- ah, screw it, he would be good for a new FF game with the times we’re living in.
The sad thing is Squeenix basically gimping Nier:Automata’s promotion out of fear of it cannibalising FFXV’s sales (rightly so, it’s a better game made with a much smaller budget). They also unlearned everything they learned from the FFXIV disaster prior to reboot. FFXV ain’t a bad game, but definitely not worth all…
Hopefully this means that they’re just trying to put the game to bed and start on Final Fantasy 16.
I Am Setsuna. was removed and you added Jackbox Party Pack 3...? I understand that the latter is a fun game to play with others, but... really?
