Remember on election day when all those idiot men at Deadspin said they weren’t voting or were voting third party or various other dumb shit?

Considering the game that came out is heralded as the best game of all time, I’d say they didnt have to sacrifice too much. Also, the Switch handles the game much better at the same resolution and the same at a higher resolution.

None. Zero. Zilch.

The video game industry is healthier with more competitors, not fewer. Unless everyone just converges to PC, we’re all better off with Nintendo making hardware.

No, they don’t, because Gamers have the memory of goldfish

I don’t think they were “implying” anything or trying to telegraph some sort of judgy insult to you specifically. It’s just kind of a catch-all type of thing that people say when they don’t feel like outlining the complexities of their life that prevent them from doing everything they want to do.

being an adult means having adult responsibilities. Some people have more responsibility and have to prioritize work/family/friends over sitting around playing games.

I recall practically every console launch having issues.

That’s a rather unfair reaction to the Switch having hardware problems, as every console has it’s issues on release. Early adoption is always a risk.

Oh man, the original Xbox 360 was a piece of crap. I somehow limped mine along for ~5 years, but I had friends who went through 3 or 4 of them before getting one that worked for more than a year.

Media and youtubers are blowing this out of proportion. I don’t make videos saying the Switch works great simply because I’m too busy enjoying it. Remember, negatives are always more vocal.

Yeah, I have a MAJOR issue. Zelda is consuming my entire life, and I’m at risk of losing a grip to anything else I lived for before this game. So...can I, like, sue Nintendo for that?

I already enjoy my Switch a lot more than my PS4, in terms of UI, hardware, and controllers. As long as Nintendo has a market, there is no reason as to why they should cater to the small population of Sony/MS super-fans.

Played probably 30 hours of BotW docked and undocked with the Joy-cons, pro controller, and with the joycon grip. Haven’t had any problems. people keep talking about how this is the worst console launch of all time and I think “damn, do people not remember the Xbox 360?”

Are you crazy?! The motion controls are essential for aiming. Nothing is more accurate.

The motion controls are amazing when it comes to aiming arrows.

disagree completely, this is the first game that it’s actually usefull, when you touch the right stick it turns off the motion, so it’s pretty handy to use the stick and just fine tune with the motion, aiming at specific parts is much easier

Motion controls for aiming are so great. I wish more games used them for fine tuning. Turning them off is terrible advice unless you have, like, a tremor or something.

Actually I was going to say the opposite, use motion controls for the bow because it’s a lot easier to make the fine tuned shots, I was amazed on the tick shots I could pull off on the 3DS with Zelda OoT, it made shooting on horseback WAY easier.

...which would be why these were called “tips,” and not “sacrosanct instructions for playing the game in the only acceptable fashion; to diverge from this prescribed path is the very height of heresy, and all who dare such transgression shall be burnt forthwith.”

What is it with people and assuming that suggestions
