If I remember, whoever was lead for BC 1 and 2 said they are not abandoning the franchise, to say the least.

They pretty much merged Bad Company and Battlefield in BF3. I would bet every cent I have that there won't be another Bad Company games. It's shame, that was my favorite series, and BC2 is still the only game I liked enough to bother getting all the achievements.

As far as I'm concerned, unless its BC3, I'm not interested. BF3&4 left a bad taste in my mouth.
