It’s funny because Trump used to love telling that story at rallies. Everybody thought he was just being a racist and talking about immigrants. Little did they know, it was self-referential.

Twitter, etc must suspend Traitor Trump’s accounts for at least 48 hours due to promoting violence.

Well, since the Senate was still very much in play at that time, it was probably premature for all the handwringing and consternation (something I participated in, incidentally!). Nevertheless, I didn’t mean that to be taken as a dig at Sanders at all, I was just posting an example of an article about how Democrats

You could oil up the fur part of the bikini, like an otter, then get into the pool. That would keep it dry.

Just wanted to say I always appreciate your legal takes for the plebes! Some of these have seemed legitimately concerning from the outside and then I read your explanation/mockery and am like PHEW I can raise my blood pressure elsewhere :) Thanks for your services!

At least now I know, I never truly hated anyone, until Trump became President.

I suspect there are two reasons why Jenkins and others feel so strongly about this:

And lastly, read the room”

And lastly, read the room.

Funny how I didn’t see AVClub mansplaining this to Christopher Nolan or Denis Villeneuve. But the moment a female director DARES to opine about who she works for... NOW it’s time to have a talk with big-budget filmmakers.

Real shame about the people who read the headline, skim the piece, and think she actually did this.

The excerpted qoute doesn’t support the claim that Jenkins is upset and angry that her movie isn’t in a theater during a pandemic. She specifically isn’t a good excuse to write an editorial which I otherwise agree with.

I don’t know that the reluctance to do streaming is always an insult so much as a technical concern. Some people do have 70" screens and fancy stereo setups, but that’s still a far cry from a 50' or whatever movie screen (to say nothing of all the people who watch everything on a laptop).

It’s perfectly acceptable for directors and other creators to talk about massive changes to their industry, and voice displeasure about directions things may be headed. The only specific person who I find gross in all this is Christopher Nolan, who used his clout to keep theaters open during a pandemic, and

I can’t believe it hasn’t been litigated already. Presumably somebody in the 21-film WB slate was getting paid a percentage of gross, how does that even work when there is no theatrical gross to speak of (or you purposefully kneecapped the gross to prop up your streaming service)? Not to be hand-wringing over the pay

All this.

You are conflating two distinctly different issues, Alex. And you seem to realize this very clearly, but it doesn’t seem to stop you from writing an article of ill consideration.

at least you ghouls are consistent, I thought for sure Patty Jenkins would get special treatment compared to Christopher Nolan and yet, here you are, a computer ghoul hiding behind your laptop and avatar, casting judgement on Jenkins and the like for having the audacity to wish their real work, nee, their art, and the

Fuck you, Reilly. I made your mum so wet, Trudeau deployed a 24-hour infantry unit to stack sand bags around my bed.

I have similar feelings. It doesn’t make sense to suddenly kibosh all Francophones. They spent a lot of time establishing KWEEEBEC Hicks, jerks, and degens (from Laval. I don’t know why but it tickles me). It doesn’t fit the shows themes of unity, as you said. Beat up marie-fred’s jerk brother, not Franco
