I’m not criticizing the signatories at all, but I suspect that, unfortunately, the people who most need to hear outside judgment are those most resistant to it.

I’m struck by the similarities between the spin put on gun violence and that put on rape culture. The right always leans on this bogeyman stranger intending to do harm to you and your family rather than the inconvenient truth that violence is more often perpetrated by the devils we know.

Reign in Blood is only 28 minutes. I tend to use that as my barometer if it’s an LP or EP, but on the other hand, in the digital age, this shit doesn’t matter at all.

Also, the Ibn Battuta mall in Dubai is probably the most interesting one I’ve ever been in. Its interior design is meant to convey all the interesting places Ibn Battuta explored, so it’s pretty cool to just walk around in, even if you’re like me and not into shopping.

Fortitude is certainly better than Magma, but I definitely prefer their older, more straight-up death metal sound.
