Hi Zack, wanna try my level? It’s an underground course where the second area is an exact, upside-down mirror of the first (except the enemies change slightly in the Upside Down). It’s called As Above, So Below, and yes, it has a checkpoint :)

I haven’t seen anyone mention this, but will Nintendo axe stages that get only a few plays/stars this time around like they did in the first one?

Not a parent yet, but my oldest nephew (13) loves Zelda, so it’s been a lot of fun talking about the series with him. He recently grew out of Pokemon, but that may change again when he gets past the teen years.

I bought the NSO voucher deal. Used one to get Mario Maker 2, and will use the other on this. It’s a pretty good deal and it still gives you eshop points.

I’ll vouch for Nnedi Okorafor. I really enjoyed Who Fears Death.

I mean, Gojira was explicitly about the horrors of nuclear war.

The “object exploration” reminds me a bit of MadWorld, but obviously these are very different games. Color me interested.

The kind of rock music you hear on a station that proudly boasts they play “NOTHING BUT ROCK!”

Not just King Kong vs Godzilla (tho that’s an excellent starting point!), but the entire Toho universe. They made a shared cinematic universe before that term was invented. Destroy All Monsters featured Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, Baragon, Manda, Varan, and Gorosaurus (among others), all of whom were featured in

MFW everyone forgets Toho created a cinematic universe damn near 60 years ago.

Nobody remembers Marathon :(

My MIL gave me this game for Christmas, and while I’m having fun with it, I also agree with your review. The dogfights are a lot of fun, but destroying endless waves of cyclopses (cyclopodes?) while destroying your nth extractor gets dull quickly. Thankfully, these new additions were already in the game when I started

Bald guy here. It’s sad when dudes refuse to just accept the truth of their baldness.

Geist on the Gamecube for me.

When you factor in advertising costs, etc., it lost the studio about $60 million.

Did you see the recently unveiled ones for KOTM?

Much to my wife’s chagrin, all of my S.H. Monster Arts purchases have been made while sober.

I liked ‘em well enough, but my fave in this vein of Marvel superhero Diablo clones was X-Men Legends.

Roxy says hi to all the pittie defenders out there in kinja.
