Pretty funny that we’re basically replaying this summer’s saga. I hope Carey Price gets his head straight, if he does, and Weber comes back strong, maybe we can have something nice for a change this Spring/Summer... #GHG

That is not true, the team made it clear he wasn’t in their plans.

This game had it all, supremely entertaining.  Not so good, Carey Price thus far and his contract, said as a Habs fan.

He is pretty gangly for his height, however he doesn’t shy away from the rough stuff. Once he fills out he’s going to be what the Brits call “an absolute unit”

Wow thats amazing. Glad his spouse knows people appreciate his writing.

I’ve told this story here before, but in memory of Dr. Z, I think its worth a re-telling. In a roundabout way, Dr. Z lead me to become a Deadspin reader/commenter.

We have an el classico possession truther here

Or does it?

Any list of boring athletes must include Sydney Crosby

I have no idea what that means but I think its pretty funny, +1

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! A D LEAGUE TEAM SNUCK INTO THE PLAYOFFS!!!

“Vegas quickly signed Pacioretty to a four-year extension that doesn’t kick in until next year, for the privilege of paying Pacioretty $7 million a year until he’s 34 years old. It’s hard to imagine throwing that kind of cash at the defense—the AAV is close to what Carlson signed for, remember—wouldn’t have done more

McDavid hasn’t left and won’t leave the Oilers in the near future for two big reasons. 1) Since the Oilers drafted him, they had his exclusive rights as a player for several years, meaning he wasn’t able to negotiate a contract with other teams, unless the Oilers traded him. 2) Last summer he signed a massive 8-year

I think that in the next couple of years, or until Peter Chiarelli gets fired, we’re going to see McDavid break all kinds of wacky “transcendent player on a bad, bad, bad, team” type records, similar to Barry Sanders.

Yeah I agree with you, however given the NHL’s track record, two games is about all you can expect.

“The NHL has been like this for decades. That stupid 4 minutes for a high sticking penalty if you bleed is an example. If its a penalty its a penalty whether dude gets hurt or not.”

I think that the NHL made the right call here, however I don’t think they would have had Pettersson note been concussed.
