Yes we are no longer culturally and legally kneecapped into a forced dependence on men. This is indeed the end of traditional marriage.

Marriage is declining because women don’t NEED men anymore. We don’t have to put up with the average/bad ones who treat everyone like shit (and vice-versa with men no longer needing women). We only need to get married when we find one we WANT who also WANTS us. And in my opinion, unless you’re rocking my world in bed,…
Really? That’s not the impression I get at all. I thought JJ was by far the best show, because it was grounded in some very intense real world issues- rape; PTSD; psychology; it handled all of these issues with nuance and care, and I thought had a very grounded realistic approach. She is the most realistic and natural…
They had a CARD CATALOG. It made my history-degree-having heart glad.
I think my favorite line from her was, “Am I the only one who DOESN’T know Karate?!”
You have to remember Jessica is the only person who’s not there because they’ve got some lofty idea of their purpose. It’s basically:
I think the best thing in the show is how they didn’t dumbed down the hassle of investigation to make the story move, she still had to do some real research to get information, any other show would have had the geek/hacker guy bashing the keyboard and done
One of the most enjoyable things about The Defenders wasn’t just seeing years of Netflix plans come together in a…
Oh, I don’t know. Discovery feels very much like Star Trek to me, because it already possesses an element key to all Trek:
It’s amazingly tone-deaf to argue that a show created by a guy whose humor is 50% racial and gender stereotypes is somehow “truer” to Star Trek, which was famously the most progressive and inclusive American TV show of the 1960's.
It also hits my pet peeve of casting women significantly younger than the male lead as love interests. Was no woman over 40 available? Clearly not.
I’m a fairly modest Star Trek fan ( a Star Trek well-wisher?), so I say this without personal investment, but given how frequently this site has begun relying on the editorial voice: “We’ve seen x,y, or z and it’s perfect/will blow your mind/is just stunning”, it’s fascinating to see any earnest-seeming attempt to…
I think I’ll skip Orville, because it looks like EVERY other show MacFarlane makes: Schlubs acting sexist, women that are shrews & plenty of gay panic jokes.
One word: Mormons.
SMART. Those will never need new tires, ever.
They’re apparently very thrifty. So thrifty they bought a Model X.
You mentioned the defence of "it's just a joke" which means I am obliged to post this:
And Taylor Swift is actually a civil war bride who time-traveled to 2013 in search of a confederate soldier who turned her into a vampire. Either that or I fell asleep watching a Taylor Swift video and woke up to an episode of True Blood.
Or that new-ish thing where parts of the print are solid white so it looks like the garment was bundled up, then screen printed. I HATE THOSE SO MUCH IT MAKES MY NECK THROB!
Thank you. I am SO CURIOUS.
