Authors usually have no control over what goes onto their covers, this includes genre authors. It's up to an art director or PR person to figure out what will sell the most on the cover. Anybody remember the "Magic under Glass" debacle?

When I was working in a 2nd grade class we had a boy who was really allergic to peanuts, but all his classmates had to do was not bring peanut butter to lunch and wash their hands more. Now I hear of whole schools banning peanuts just for one kid, and wonder if they are way over-reacting.
