"Nobody carries wallets anymore. I mean, they went out with powdered wigs. Yeah, see here's what you need. Just a couple of cards and your bankroll. See, keep the big bills on the outside."

Dammit. If it doesn't happen, I'm going to come back to this post and blame you for jinxing it!
Very cool. This prompted me to look for travel grants for teachers and – sure enough – there are quite a few. Definitely something to consider for upcoming summers...
Visual clutter. Note the the use of (mis) in my original post. It may not actually be cluttered with stuff, but the bulletin boards and desks just give me a headache and create a false sense of messiness. If these things on the bulletin boards, for example, are needed, I doubt that they're needed all the time. I'd…

Ha. True enough about the "what ifs". Of course, that's also the "problem" with head start programs - we'll never know what might have been because we either have them or don't in every specific instance, and wouldn't dare to create a control group to determine whether they really work.
BXNX hit the nail on the head. Reading has been shown to increase reasoning, intellect, vocabulary, spelling, critical thinking, world knowledge, creativity, etc. (Pick up nearly any Kelly Gallagher book for all the research and data you can eat.) But it's not the only way to develop, and it only works if you do it…
The directions for step 3 are vague. Do I send an email? Start chatting? Perhaps the image could be a little clearer.
If your dog pees in a properly-sized crate, take him/her to a vet immediately. Dogs will do anything to avoid soiling where they sleep or eat. But, yeah, I'd use a plastic travel crate for training a puppy.
It is? It doesn't strike me as neat nor neat. Other than the fact that there are no visible wires and no drawers to speak of, I don't honestly get what's special about this workspace. In fact, as I said elsewhere, it strikes me as incredibly cluttered, which is actually giving me the (mis)impression of messiness.
Haha... That was my thought as well, but I don't suffer from OCD. It just struck me as way to cluttered.
I can understand being apathetic about wireless, but why demand wires? That just strikes me as... odd.
Pardon me if this sounds rude, but I ask in the name of confirmation/disconfirmation of my understanding of the disorder: Have you been professionally diagnosed, or is this a self-diagnosis?
Yes! Let the airing of grievances commence!
Huh. I had never considered vinyl shower liners to be optional, except when the curtain itself is vinyl. But apparently, from reading the link, they are. But, yeah, I'm with you.
I agree. But only because I can see the rudder in the video. ;)
No. How awesome would that be? But I can knit one out of yarn scraps, which would be no different from, say buying a scrap of plexiglass. So... yeah... it's still not that different.
He didn't use the scrap instead of throwing it away. He went out and bought it. But, sure, go on with your indignant and totally out of place rage. I was just stating my opinion, after all. How dare I.
Mmmmm.... Sexy butter lettuce parties...
So, if I knit or crochet an afghan, rather than buying one, that would be a lifehack? Sorry, don't think so. Just because it's DIY doesn't mean it's a lifehack, which – IMO –is all about making life easier, more efficient, or just plain better. Cheaper or cooler may also qualify, but that still doesn't make this a…
