It probably wasn’t a bat though but a flying fox. They are bigger and a marsupials

Well Mac and cheese was the OP’s example. But yeah, when I said scratch I wasn’t meaning making the pasta from scratch. Pre-made macaroni is perfectly fine to use and a lot more economical. I also don’t presume people are making their own cheese either. Cooking is skill that too few people posses. I cook for a family

While I agree that fast food is extremely cheap, I think a lot of people have forgotten that it isn’t that difficult to make some meals from scratch. For instance is does NOT take 2 hours to make mac and cheese nor does it cost $20.

I’m the worst for this kind of advice as I’ve been living with my partner since our 2nd date. He was a backpacker and his place was just terrible so he just stayed at mine and never went home. We moved countries, travelled across a continent in a car, got married and have 2 kids. Been together for 11 years now and

that’s what I was thinking. I’m not overly familiar with insulin pumps but don’t they eliminate the constant need for testing and insulin injections?

Damn, did I go into a fugue state, create a separate account and write this. How do you know my live?

That looks super comfy to swim in and not get burnt in, but more importantly is that a suit of armour behind you. Cool

I wasn’t aware that Rikers was a jail not a prison, even with my many years of watching Law and Order under my belt. I’m from Australia where the terms jail and prison get used interchangeably and generally don’t mean different buildings or institutions. So much for the idea of presumed innocent until proved guilty.

This is horrible all round. I used to know a woman who ran a non-profit that worked towards advancing prisoner rights in Canada. Talking to her about the issues that prisoners face it make you realize that practically no one cares one iota about people behind bars. Once we lock them up most of their rights, their

My parents live in another country so I get no help with the kids from them except when they visit once a year and my mother in law won’t drive into the city to come to our place so we get the very occasional babysitting for our kids. I only work part time because the cost of childcare and after school care is about

OMG I used to believe the same thing

This is a great show. My five year old loves it, I love it and my husband loves. As feminist who used to pull the heads off my own Barbies, who woulda thought?!

Monkey. Loved LOVED this show growing up but I’m pretty sure it never showed in North America

Original Dr Who. That music. There’s really nothing like it

How does a man who lives in Florida have this kind of pallor? He looks like a corpse. And I say this as someone who’s complexion resembles a ghost, but my excuse is that I live in Canada and only experience direct sunlight for a couple months a year

So I’ve been struggling with depression for the past 18 months and I finally met with a doctor to get help. I had blood work done and my thyroid and iron levels seem fine so my problems seem pyschological. Medication along with some counselling seems to be the next step. My doctor was recommending Zoloft and possibly

Not all were bothered by any theoretical jealousy-inducing scenario, but those who were said the reasons behind it were pretty simple: jealousy not only of the third party, but of the spouse getting to have fun without them—particularly for people raising families.

Thanks, also Garnier products are sold everywhere

Hoping a few people could give me some advice about the BB cream they can recommend for pale, reddish skin that STILL breaks out at 36 years old. I’ve been using L’Oreal but I’m not loving it. Looking for the lovely dewy finish on my skin.

I’ve seen quite a lot around Vancouver BC. It looks strange and because they all seem to be black in colour and matte, you can’t see the car which seems dangerous. It’s a stupid trend
