Now y'all know why there's almost zero chance of true gun law reform: there's too much money to be made from fear.

This woman has done a tremendous amount of activist work regarding international human rights and refugees, and you want to silence her for something she did 14 years ago? Ok.

they probably think they're saving the world by hanging gays and witches and gay witches. :(

Holy smokes, Why can't every famous person use their powers for good like this? Bless her lovely heart

Glad these girls' athleticism is being recognized for what it is! I hope this leads to fewer injuries, better coaches and training, and more support from schools. Goooooooo cheerleaders!

I'm probably at a two on a 1 to 10 scale of offended, but it irritates me when privileged people/white people appropriate urban slang (because it's so funny when we say it cuz we are so not "urban") and talk about the "struggle" "ironically." Yes, the struggle is real. The "struggle" is about achieving equality.

Marijuana should never be used for anything but love and as a vehicle to make me want to eat more doritos.

Gay Republicans, black Republicans, women Republicans... there's a special kind of self-loathing going on there.

Well no, but it's as peculiar as, say "Communists for Mussolini" or "Black Folks for George Wallace." Like, they all seem to be convinced that the gay-bashing stuff, it's just talk, just red meat for the base, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, we don't really mean it.

It seems almost pathological at this point: "Oh, sure, they do bad stuff, but THEY CAN CHANGE, I JUST KNOW IT."

I don't know, guys. I don't hate some of these mags. Glamour, after the first half which is all centered on fashion (which I like) and "beauty" (Get skinny and look the way the industry tells you you should look! which I don't like), does usually have articles and columns that profile a lot of empowering women and

Wasn't Glamour, once upon a time, the thinking woman's fashion magazine? It had great kind of serious coverage about real issues, I remember.

I agree that we should stop thinking of wealth as the only way to define success, but I feel like Glamour's motivations for saying so might be a little sketchy. Like, "Sure, Hillary Clinton is 'successful,' but isn't getting your dream swimsuit just as valid a form of success?" I don't read Glamour, so I'm asking

I actually have a subscription to Glamour. I've had it for years and can confirm that once upon a time, they did have serious coverage of real issues. Then it became a fashion-centered diet-advice laden ladies gabfest. I am hopeful it will go back.
