It’s a gendered insult, at its core. It exists for no purpose than to demean women for not being the right kind of woman, and to demean men for being like any kind of woman at all.

I can’t believe I’m defending Leonardo DiCaprio, as I love mocking him as much as the next person, but there is a weird obsession in the media with his dating life. Who cares if he’s into young supermodels? He’s the one that has to endure conversations and listen to Mark Anthony with them, not us.

And as a mixed raced child who had a white mother who took every single racial and sexist battle - and won them, I’ll say: the exhaustion is worth it.

I had this happen too. I was totally going to grill him on some stuff and ended up just giggling and thanking him for his service to the country. The man has some serious charisma.

Or as if it matters at all. There’s not a lot they can pull out of the bag in terms of opposition that they didn’t try on Obama, and Obama got quite a lot done. So, whatever. Whichever Democrat wins would have the same problem, which has already been proven to be not-insurmountable.
