Well you kinda are. The A-10 was basically built around the GAU-8. Its really the only the plane that can carry and shot it other than the big shit (C-130, KC-35, etc).

Weight, that paintball gun, even stripped down, is still going to out-weigh the plane. For an Airsoft gun to work, I’m guessing it would have to be a 1/5 scale or larger to work properly.
