Just proves that Ford is ran by petulant child. So big deal that a company that makes far superior cars (Ferrari) uses it for one year as the name of an F1 car. And the same thing with Tesla. They are starting to get as bad as GM with all the shit they are doing to stop Tesla.

They already said they screwef it up. They should have switched Vettel to softs or mediums. At that point neither of the mercs could pass him.

Yea, was on my phone and wasn’t really paying attention. (I wasn’t driving)

I don’t know why they attach roll hoop like you are talking about, to the removable shoulder guard they have on the car. It is attached to the car, but in the need of being removed, can be simply disconnected and the driver can be extracted.

With four lines you won’t receive as much force I believe as running single line that splits at the axle. Not to mention less running two less lines means the car is lighter.

I would think they could re-route the lines through the center with the fuel lines. But still going to have it exposed at the wheel. Maybe titanium tube?

FA is one of the best GM sites by far. And to give credit to Stef, she does do that for the races, but this was a action packed race from the start to finish. And this is big news. A brand new team with their own car not only finishes, but does in the points. A lot of people didn’t think they could do it.

Stef gives some of us an inside look at things and places most of us can’t get to. If you want just straight analysis, good luck. Check out f1.com.

We need to have Stig reunion post so we can all comment, just imagine, 400 stigs with either all blank posts or just pictures of beige Volvo wagons.I wouldn’t be mad at all.

For a standard roll, yea, the car is the roll hoop. But like in JB’s and DW’s wrecks, it was when the car hit something at a angle in which the car cannot stop it. Alonso could have easily had his head smashed right into that wall. In the end, glad to see him walk away safely.

The Halo would have done its job. They are designed to have release for when this happens. And Kimi’s flamethrower was in the pits, surrounded by marshalls and the team. There was no worry their.

I get that. Just goes to show how well they design the cars these days. I almost thought you were Clarkson for a second.

TG may be dead as we know it, but nothing can kill the Stig!!

Yea. That car straight ate that sign, but a perfect camera angle. I saw him get out and thought, “ he got out of THAT!” Then I seen the replay. Halos can’t come soon enough.

Glad to see both of them walk away. Did you see how far that car flew in the air? Had to be 75 feet or more. That was kinda crazy.

They wanted more cars on the track, how did that turn out? Everybody from drivers, teams, media, and most important, fans said this was a bad idea. This weekend has proven that. Haas could have made it to Q2 for sure if it wasn’t for this new rule. I haven’t seen a Q3 session end like that ever. This needs to be

It must have something to do with cost vs time. Hauling by truck is a lot cheaper than flying.

I can remember one time back 2006 I believe, got to the fuselage of the B-1 heading to somewhere in Ohio. Every exit ramp was filled with people. So many that they started going into the grass by the bridges. Well somebody didn’t like that cause the next thing I know, in comes a heli and hovers probably 50-75 feet

Shit, I had to wait a year to get my DL, and not because of me. My father at the time said this word for word, “The state may say you can drive, but not until you pass my test” and I have to say it worked. He made me learn car control and how to feel the car. I wish more people would do that. I know I would feel
