Maybe Cleveland. They seem to have no issue hiring officers with histories of excessive force. (See: Tamir Rice).

They are just the sort of people ICE is looking to hire.. they can (and are willing to) fire a gun, and get physical to accomplish their goals. They have VERY flexible (to no) morals, and are most importantly, white.

Oh, most definitely. They’ll just move one county over or join ICE or something. Assuming they just don’t sue and are quietly re-hired with back pay in a few months.

Exactly. I lived in a city where I swore they had an agreement with the City of Miami police department. Every time one of their corrupt cops were fired they ended up working for the police department in this city in Georgia. And they committed the same stuff over again.

Isn’t it sad that if this hadn’t been clearly recorded it would have been cop word against a “criminal” and the cops would have been off the hook? Cell phone cameras may be the only thing policing the police.

The cynic in me says the only reason they were fired was because it was caught on video. However, I realize that at least this is progress and we should be happy that something actually got done for once.

just for clarity’s sake, Stanford’s application is a bunch of short answer questions, with limits between 50-150 words- he answered one of those short answers with the hashtag (hence why he ostensibly did not submit a similar essay to his other schools)
