It’s debatable whether or not he planted with his right or left foot. Based on his movements, he’s treating the right foot as the plant. Yes, it shifts slightly while he’s looking to pass, but I wouldn’t fault the officials for missing it. The double dribble is the more obvious infraction.

I agree it was a bad spot and should’ve been a first down, but you should never trust the yellow line. The location of the line is manually set by an operator based on visual location of the ball on first down. It’s not directly tied to the location of the 10-yd rod.
