This! Cobra Kai is even more infuriating re: contact fighting. As a lapsed karate practitioner, that’s not how reputable tournaments are run. They’d NEVER get insurance, for one thing. Also, concussions are now a thing, and with all the head trauma, on of those kids definitely had one.

I know lots of people consider survivor a kind of game show, but I always felt it was almost a sport - lots of physical challenges, mental toughness and a game that lends itself to bracket - like betting.

I’ve been using that, but it doesn’t have quite the meaning I’m looking for. My understanding is that to renege is to go back on a deal. I need to call out a kid who gives another kid a toy, and then takes it back. 

Its such a touchy subject. I’ve managed to scrub the ‘r’ word from my vocabulary, along with ‘that’s gay’, and Indian giver (is there a non-aweful term that means the same thing???), but I’m not always great at correcting other people.
