All I can think of is the Portlandia sketch:

Pete's "No…No…OK" in the brothel was terrifying and heartbreaking and perfect. He's a great actor but he really brought it in that scene (and tonight in general).

My mom bought me the box set of Freaks & Geeks about 5 or 6 years ago, for Christmas. I've watched the series many, many times over the years, but I've always saved the last episode. Because of this walkthrough (and personal things), I finally watched the series finale tonight. Needless to say I'm still mopping up the

I've been listening to a lot of The Cranberries because I'm going to see them in May. Their first album is actually really solid, and their second album is good too. While I don't doubt ROSES is probably pretty weak, they had some great songs in the early 90's besides "Zombie". "How", from their first album, is pretty

I saw the band Sharpless open at Lincoln Hall. They really really killed it. Part of it's on YouTubeif you want to check it out. Then they released their new single last night, "Greater Than" and so I've been listening to that all morning.

Cloud Nothings' ATTACK ON MEMORY, Leonard Cohen's OLD IDEAS and Sharon Van Etten's TRAMP are the three best albums of the year so far for me. Chairlift's SOMETHING is also very fun if you dig 80's teen movie soundtracks.

LINDSAY WEIR

CLEAR EYES FULL HEARTS CAN'T LOSE

One of my favorite albums of the year is the self-titled debut by Sharpless, a killer Chicago band lead by this guy Jack Greenleaf. People who said Jeff the Brotherhood's album was the best Weezer-esque album of the year didn't hear this.

I may be wrong because I obviously don't know exactly how you tally the points, but Adele received 18 points with three votes which would tie Washed Out and beat Florence, wouldn't it? Either way, great list, and great writing as usual.

I'm sorry if this makes me seem super shitty and self promoting, but I wrote an article about this. Obviously don't read it if you don't want to , and like I said, I get it's a really lame thing to do, but it helps support me point above:

I think this was easily the best episode of the season so far; all three plots worked perfectly. I want to talk about Jerry though specifically. I think it was important that Tom DIDN'T shudder after saying all that stuff. I think, deep down, that actually sounds great. The thing he's missing that Jerry has is the

Apparently this feature is exclusively picking songs that I love. Keep it up, A.V. Club.

I didn't know what the A.V. Club would do now that Pop Pilgrims and AV Undercover are over (at least for now). But with this and One Track Mind, I see there was absolutely no reason to worry.

Yeah, AOL asked the same question basically. I'm glad he did it because all the "did he kill Gale or not!?!?!?!" questions last year were annoying.

Agree completely. I think this is easily one of the best episodes the show's ever done, which is obviously saying a lot. I kept thinking the scene I was watching was going to be the best scene of the episode. But then that last scene…damn.

3D
I've read elsewhere that the 3D is actually enjoyable, but judging from this I'd guess I shouldn't throw down the extra cash?

Das Racist
I really like this song. I've enjoyed both of their mixtapes, but I'm hoping their first real album is great, and judging from this song, it may be.

Friday Night Lights (TV) SPOILER ALERT
I know this is about movies, but the end of the FNL series is a beautifully done example of this very thing. An all-important pass at State becomes a pass at next year's practice. We learn the outcome of the game, where many of the characters are (though not if Matt and Julie

Damn
Hyden with the Counting Crows yesterday, and this today?A.V. Club is on a roll this week.
