Mike Judge
Mike Judge made King of the Hill and Office Space, two great things. He also made Idiocracy, The Goode Family and Extract. How? How how how?

Toy Story 3
My summer after high school graduation. Much as I love INCEPTION, I have to go with the one that ends with Andy playing with his childhood toys one last time.

Gaslight Anthem
A couple years ago I was driving around and a song (I think "'59 Sound") came on the radio. I rarely impulse buy, but the second I got home I ordered the record. It's been one of my favorites since.

Cry
"Cry When You Get Older" is one of my favorite songs of the year so far. That song is intensely catchy and awesome.

Suicide
I don't know exactly what thematic ideas this brings about (besides Don's life kinda sucks), but suicide is mentioned explicitly three times, twice by Roger referring to Don's life, and then Crane threatens to jump off the "second floor". Too obvious (and lame) for foreshadowing, but it's gotta mean something.

Exactly
"It's easy to forget while working a job steeped in covering pop culture that for a lot of people, there are very few people in their lives who care this much about trivial bullshit. Standing in line and meeting someone who's just as excited about Kevin Smith movies as you are can be a warming experience, a

I May Be Off
The reason I figured Hermes was #5 from the beginning was because when Bender was first complaining. Hermes' shirt was the exact color of the wall, as if he was trying to blend in, plus he looked a little guilty. I might be reading too much into it, but the color was the EXACT same.

Lost
Wow. I cried during every remember flash (esp Claire and Charlie), and as soon as they showed Christian I started crying for 20 minutes straight. So yeah, I was pretty heavily affected.

The Event
I think The Event looks pretty awesome from its trailer. I love a good mystery, and while I was worried about the vagueness of the title, I think they're using it to their advantage. I also like the combo of small scale (Jason Ritter's story) and large scale (Blair Underwood, token black president).

Favorite
This is my new favorite episode of the show, and possibly any sitcom. Hysterical, brilliantly shot and structured, and a great touching moment between Abed and Jeff at the end. Also loved how it wasn't clear whose ego was driving things. Simply brilliant.

Incorrect
The "Your heart is both drunk and a kid." line was brilliant. One of my favorites of the season. Hilarious (three brilliant running gags? One involving a song? Awesome!) and some really moving stuff at the end. I always love sweet Marshall-Ted scenes because I think friendship is so often underrated for the

The A.V. Club
Until 2007, I liked movies and TV and music and such, but only on an average level. Then, somehow, I discovered The A.V. Club. I don't think any single thing in my life up to now has fully changed my perception of pop culture (which is where I plan on spending my life once I start college next year) as

Liked It
I didn't love the basketball stuff, but I loved the Cam & Mitch stuff and loved Claire's revenge. Yeah it was bitter, but it was funny? And it's a sitcom? So that worked for me. I agree, drama and story and character-wise it may not have been the best, but I laughed a lot, and that makes it at least a B to

Amazing
I don't know the last time anything, TV show, book, movie, etc has satisfied me like that episode did. Wow. It was a great spy dramedy film cut down to to 44 min, but it didn't feel cut down at all. That was pretty damn great.

The A.V. Club always starts off the year reviewing some music they missed from the previous year.

Internet, Books, Etc.
I spend way too much time on the internet as well. I need to limit myself to checking the entertainment sites I read (AV Club, Movieline, etc.) twice a day, and checking Twitter and Facebook much less often. I keep reading about books I need to read and movies I need to see and records I need to

David Wolinsky,
my heart goes out to you for having to have a conversation with this man.

Yes! The new trailer looks so badass. I love that we know so little about it, a CLOVERFIELD-esque approach to advertising that really needs to be done more. And that cast! Leo, Caine, Ellen Page, Marion, Joesph G-L, Berenger, Cillian Murphy! I am ashamed that this did not make the most anticipated of next year.

Also, second episode in a row to end with Old Marshall visiting Young Marshall? Only HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

The Future
-We know that Marshall and Lily are together, and from the looks of the episode where they write their "Read upon my death" notes, Marshall may be in politics. They have a son, possibly a daughter(s).
-Robin does get to be on the real nationwide news.
-Ted is married and has two kids.
-Barney…? I'm thinking
