Well said. I echo every word. Maybe it’s an age thing (I’m 30) but I don’t understand why people get so vitriolic over this stuff. Just don’t do what you don’t enjoy, to me its simple.

Not pointless at all. Jon’s parentage was a huge factor in Dany and Jon’s relationship fracturing, and Jon doing what he did. You could say that Jon’s ultimate purpose was to save the realm from Dany.

I realize many may disagree with me, but I thought they stuck the landing. I loved that finale. Tyrion’s speech + Dany’s attempt to justify herself also made Episode 5 much easier to swallow, doesn’t change the fact that S8 was rushed, but this ending delivered everything I was hoping it would.

I actually liked Drogon burning the throne, it shows he was a more intelligent creature than we thought. He knew the thirst for the throne was what undid Dany.

He kicked ass in Blade and kicked ass here. Great actor.

Roland became my favorite character of all 3 seasons after that scene with the dog. I’ve always liked Dorff since Deacon Frost, but he was just incredible here, best performance of the season.

Just Break Up is a bad podcast hosted by narcissists who can’t even put together a few sentences without interrupting themselves with laughs or random other thoughts. I’m not really sure who their audience is.

PTA is a great filmmaker, but this is office-politics tier bullshit. Sugar coating everything instead of being honest and direct about what you’re talking about just causes problems, the idea that its necessary because of what the suits want is a cop-out.

I suggest anyone still watching this show to go to Netflix and watch The Last Kingdom. It’s better in every conceivable way.

The Last Kingdom was always so much better than this show ever was, and the chasm in quality between the latest seasons of both shows makes Vikings completely unwatchable by comparison. TLK is just incredible, I can’t say enough good things about it.

He’s just taking notes from the Daniel Day Lewis and Marlon Brando playbooks to come off a certain way. Wouldn’t be shocked if his publicist tells him to give answers like this.

Thanks for the fucking spoilers, asshole.

Yeah, Bad Witch is a disappointment. Shit Mirror is the only track on there that left much of an impression to me.

Why is The Affair still on? That story was already beaten to death by the end of S3. Now it looks like a full blown stupid soap opera.

I didn’t hate it, but I thought it had a profound identity crisis for the reasons you described. It tried to be two movies and will end up being forgettable because of that I think, regardless of the RT score and all that. It just didn’t end up being terribly unique at all.

A statement like this only fuels more speculation that a bad break up or fight preceded his suicide. So, uh, not really helping...

This has been a good year for endings. Both this and The Terror’s finales were pitch perfect, but especially this in how it was an amazing and heartbreaking culmination of 6 years of buildup. That scene between them and Stan was one of the most intense exchanges of dialogue I’ve seen in years, and the final scene was

Shitting on a man on the day of his death. On the internet. Do you think you’re a good person?

Draining yet beautiful is exactly how I’d describe it, too. It takes the audience beyond the brink of madness, but ends on a beautiful and heartfelt note with Crozier. That scene between him and Edward and the final shot... just speechless.

Crozier might have actually lived for at least a few years with the Inuits between 1852-58
