At the end of S4 he tries to mend things with her but she turns him down. And I think demonizing Jessa to the degree Hannah has is totally selfish and narcissistic. She has never taken a moment to put herself in either of their shoes.

He has infinite credibility as a legend for Badlands, Days of Heaven, Thin Red Line, Tree of Life, etc. but has been utterly blowing it on his last two films and by the looks of this trailer his third film in a row.
