Understandable. All I'll say is I think you should stick with it, I felt the exact same way at this point in the season regarding him being an unlikable dick.

Did you only just start watching last season or something? The show already shipped them, and Carrie is always barely holding onto reality.
If his past and abandonment issues with his parents don't resonate with you at all, that could be why you don't know what to make of it. That's the crux of the show and Lenny's character arc.
He's able to be terrifying in scenes like "A WAR WITHOUT END" while at the same time making it clear in the quiet moments that it's all a bit of a show, almost as if he doesn't really want to be that way but relents to his worse impulses. You can tell on the inside he's a good person, but he still can't quite get over…
Yeah, I could rewatch that montage a hundred times, and the bit in Episode 10 where he was asked what he wanted to be when he was a child and he just says "I wanted to be a child" followed by that song by Saint Saviour as he's eating in the cafe… makes me cry every time, there's just something so beautiful about that.…
I don't think it was forced. Lenny has an awakening because of his friend dying and Sister Mary faking him out with those actors pretending to be his parents. The speech at the end of Episode 8 and the endings of Episode 9 and 10 genuinely moved me and made me tear up, I guess because I could personally relate to his…
As someone who's worked with and around disabled people, I find it really endearing, and his performance is extremely good here. He seems to be getting back on track relatively quickly anyway, I figure by the end of the season he'll be almost back to his old self.
Quinn fucking that guy up was incredibly satisfying. But what is the deal with Carrie… did she forget she ever had sexual feelings for him? Maybe touching her back was a little uncalled for, but she could have just talked to him and told him where things stand instead of freaking out like he was trying to rape her.…
You are completely wrong. The best episodes of the series are the last 3.
He's winning an Emmy for this. Best role he's ever had, as I've said before. Had no idea he had something like this in him.
I AM READY TO WAGE A WAR WITHOUT END AGAINST YOU.
Was gonna post this. That dude signed a deal with the devil.
Miles Teller completely sucks. How he was ever even considered for this is strange.
This thing is such a fucking disjointed mess now. It was really something special in Season 1 and has just gone totally off the rails since then, it's not even the same show and has no through-line to keep me invested.
The shot of Lenny standing above Voiello after confronting him over the attempted blackmail was incredible. An angry god looking down on his servant.
Hmm, do tell.
lol
He's been in mostly pretty good stuff though. Can't think of anything awful he's been in.
Older woman younger man thing is hot, but everything else about this looked like trash.
Perhaps, but you said they shouldn't be together because of that, and my point is maybe the only way they ever feel happy again is by working out that pain together. Sometimes just going to see a therapist doesn't magically fix everything.
