Let's see...

I'm this way for swap meets and junkyards. Runner-up for best auto store binge purchase was two cartoony-proportioned pull-back action truck keychains, a metallic blue Dodge Dakota and a dark green '56 Ford F-100. Also got my old man a "World's Greatest Dad" keychain as a gift several years ago. Perhaps my favorite

I'm sad to see these go. At least he's selling the ones that, one could argue, are the least attractive of his collection. He has a whole lot more where these came from.

This guy has even more. He has a '54 Hudson Hornet, '58 Plymouth Plaza Silver Special, '56 Studebaker President, '58 Dodge Regal Lancer, '59 Dodge Custom Royal, and '60 Chrysler Saratoga as well. I have DOTSBE shoots of nearly all of them if Murilee wants them.

@GTBruiser: If you can make it to the Petersen Museum in LA anytime soon, that car is currently on display in their movie car gallery. At least it was a month ago when I was there.

The first one that came to mind was the Buick Electra Estate Wagon from Adventures In Babysitting. I love that car for some strange reason.

NASCAR is useless in GT5 unless the game has damage modeling.

@tonyola: That's the 1924 Hispano-Suiza Tulipwood Torpedo from the Blackhawk Museum. A fine choice.

@Jim-Bob- Rockin' a Trabant 601 in 1:24 scale: Yeah, it was more than I wanted to pay, but I resolved I wasn't going home to the States without a diecast Trabant of some kind. They had this one in the gift shop at the Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum and I snapped it up.

So two designers from Ford and Nissan go into a bar, get drunk and design a Peugeot together for shits and giggles.

Textile looms kill people too, didn't anybody watch "Wanted"?

1971 GMC 1500 Custom stepside pickup with a 3-on-the-tree and a stiff clutch. I hated it. I stalled three times just pulling out of the driveway, and somehow managed to burn out in reverse while doing a three-point turn. I still can't drive a stick smoothly, because, well, I got discouraged by the bad experience. I

@brandegee: Reminds me of the situation out here in the Bay. A San Francisco Muni driver made $78k in overtime pay last year. For driving a bus. And people wonder why Muni is broke. It's unsafe and has a mediocre on-time record, while at the same time raising fares and cutting routes. Employees aren't willing to take

@MaWeiTao: Eh, not all government workers. My postal carrier is one of the nicest and most cheerful people I've ever met. He's also consistently on time and accurate. The ones who take over when he's on vacation... not so much.

@eggwich mcsandwich: I'm at the Academy of Art University (the one with the awesome car collection that was displayed at the last SFIAS). My classes are on New Montgomery at Howard. Last time I remember seeing the Tempo it was parked on Post at Montgomery in front of the Wells Fargo.

That's it. I need to get my 6000 STE running and drive it over to Alameda. If a Tempo is eligible for DOTS...

@eggwich mcsandwich: I go to college in The City and still see an old white '90s Tempo sedan with a city medallion on the door kicking around downtown every so often. Wonder if that's you.
