It may not be a “real” Ferrari, but its driven hard and often which is what Enzo intended. If Enzo were to come back from the dead and meet Peter at a Ferrari event, I think he would shake his hand sooner than someone with a genuine Testa Rossa who bought it as an investment and lets it collect dust in a warehouse.
If this car winds up becoming non-hybrid, RWD and naturally aspirated, I would consider it more of a true successor to the NSX than the car Acura plans to launch in 2016. Don’t get me wrong, the 2016 NSX will be a good car. However, I don’t look at the 2016 NSX and think of it as an NSX. Its too tech laden, too…
Sounds like there is no need for a WRC car to resemble a common street counterpart anymore. If that’s the case, how about everyone start from a clean sheet? The Stratos came from a clean sheet approach to making a car for rallying and only rallying. That turned out well.
Funny you mention the bus idea, they did this at Fuji for the Nismo Festival. I can’t find footage from inside the bus right now but I have seen footage from the bus and it is pretty awesome.
Ridge Racer Type 4 hit me at an impressionable age. The fancy intro video followed the paths of the game’s supermodel mascot and a silver car sliding and racing hard. I thought it was so cool, I rarely skipped the intro video. And I wanted to be that driver.
I’ve seen newer stock cars maintain long slides before but this was pretty awesome. Can’t help but think that the roof flaps make it easier to maintain a drift. I wonder if the people in Formula D have considered active aero...

Most car enthusiasts would love it if their significant other was into ANY form of motorsport. In many relationships, the love for racing is felt by only one side. Here is a guy who’s gal is into Indycar and you’d think he’d appreciate it? Nope, Captain NASCAR says its his way or the highway.

Thank you very much!
Oh hell, can I get ungrayed in these parts?
SUV-GT-car-thing? My good sir, the term that escapes your vocabulary is “donk.”
I’m surprised Gordon won’t wait one more year to handle pace car duty. When he’s retired, he won’t have to rush back to another track to go race a stock car.
Reminds me of a highlight from an XR1200 series race. Guy grabs his arm, affecting his throttle hand.
Marquez is used to dominating at the top level. Its all he has known since he has been in MotoGP. No discredit to Marquez though, he works very hard to be the best and his victories have sometimes been very hard fought.
Laguna Seca looks awesome enough from inside a car but wow, does it look amazing as a motorcycle track. I have lapped it virtually many, many times in both Gran Turismo and Tourist Trophy but I have never seen the track in person. Up until now I thought my dream was to drive on it, but now my dream is to ride on it.
One of my most favorite aspects of the motorcycle hobby is the accessibility of motorcycles. The car hobby can get discouraging really quick when you get the sense that being a part of the car enthusiast world has more to do with what is in your pocket than your passion. I could bore you for days with technical and…
Oh, if only there was a way to produce lots of down force without a bunch of fragile little winglets?
