Gadot literally didn’t bother saying “Palestine” or “Palestinians” in her message.

Nobody is expecting her to say “death to Israel” and nobody said she’s accountable for the actions of the Israeli government. It’s not antisemitic to condemn violence perpetrated by the Israeli government.

The comparison was made not to suggest they are similar people with similar impact, but to note how their statements are regarded as tone deaf in a way that they just haven’t been before. Hard to imagine a politician walking back a statement like the one Yang made a few years ago.

Tell your country to stop building settlements and bombing Gaza for starters, Gal.

I was genuinely surprised that he was the one that filed, and she seemed to be unaware it was coming.  When he went into rehab and she went dark on social media, I thought for sure she was going to wait a respectable amount of time so that she could file without seeming like she was kicking him when he was down.
