One key thing that happened is that the blue wall fell. The Minneapolis CoP testified against him. And the prosecutor framed this as a pro-police situation, ie: good cops who do their jobs well have nothing to fear, but bad, dirty, sociopath cops should be on notice.

Not true. The goals of the Republican party have always been clear: Lower tax rates for the rich and corporations. Deregulation of business including environmental, safety, and liability regulations. Complete depowering of unions and worker’s rights. Complete defunding of tax-based social/welfare programs.

It really is an absolute travesty we’ve never gotten a proper Callas bio-pic or mini-series. I know opera isn’t very popular with the under 70 crowd, but her life was so wildly dramatic and tragic it could make for quite the film.

Considering that Onassis would later tell paparazzi where Jackie Kennedy like to sunbathe nude and how they could sneak onto her property and get photos, leaving Ms. Callas may have been doing her a favor.
